Five minutes into the game we were 2-0 up. In-form Caleb Cooper found the net first. Little later it was 2-0 when Herlihy coolly slotted home his first of the season. After that it wasn't pretty; the tackles got worse as did the language on and off the field. The not so talented but very aggressive Thomas players got two second half goals and the momentum seemed to be on their side as the clock winded down.
With under 10 mins to go Coach's Lynch didn't have many options for subs as legs grew tired. Herlihy raised his hand asking for a breather but Lynch shook his head; not now son, we need ya. Then came the Big-Game link-up we had seen before. It takes us back to the Regional Final against St. Thomas last year. Sean Frye's cross finds Scott Herlihy inside the box... Goal. That was last season. This time, Johan's 30 yard switch from left to right finds Sean Frye whose delivery is met once again by Herlihy for the game winner. 3-2 Flagler.
Play of the Day. Forget about Becks and Nistelrooy, and Pires and Henry. In St. Augustine all they talk about is Frye and Herlihy.
