| November 8th, Flagler Field 6 pm Kickoff - Senior Night Flagler 0 - Northwood 1 For obvious reasons I will not go into detail about this game. Not the most important game of our lives, but come on, this was an embarrasment to everyone. Shut out at home against Nortwood is a new low that we have to get away from. Friday it is a bigger match when we take on St. Thomas in the Regional Semi final. For me last Regional Tournament was some of the best times I have ever experienced and I would like nothing more than to repeat that this year. Come on! Man of the Match: Several poor performances all over the pitch and I really don't think there are many lads who did well against Northwood. I'll give one man a little credit for his effort. Mike Allard replaced Pete Young at halftime and to be honest with you, Michael, you were probably the best player out there wearing the Flagler shirt. Couple of massive saves from the soon to be Ph.D holder kept us alive in the game and provided the crowd with something to cheer for. Biggest game of the year coming up, who'll get the nod from Lynch to start the game in goals? For your input call Lynch's hotline at 1-800 WHO-2-STRT-IN-GLS. Play of the Game: Before the game the senior members of the team were honored for their contribution. Some of the parents were in the crowd and naturally they enjoyed the occasions with their sons. The timing of Mr. & Mrs. Cooper's arrival to the ceremony was priceless. Caleb was the first one to be announced and you could see Mr. Cooper in an Olympic paced sprint in from the parking lot before joining his son at the perfect time. Mrs. Cooper arrived few moments later. Only if the players had showed the same intensity and determination during the game as Mr. Cooper did. Maybe he should be starting at left mid on Friday? For your input call Lynch's hotline 1-800 WHO-2-STRT-LFTMID. Thank you. |
