Numerals

Since the 13th century Friland uses the positional system (the "Arab numbers"), which originates from India and is characterized by the decimal system and the use of the number zero/nil. Characteristic for Frilandic numerals is the use of "nil numbers"; instead of using the Latin loanwords "million", "billion", etcetera people sum up the amount of zeros in the number. "Three million" for example, is pronounced as "three six-nil".
