Hiverian heads of state

Hiveria is a presidential republic: the president is the official head of state and also the head of government. Before the declaration of the republic both functions were held by the king. Below is the list of Hiverian heads of state:

House Breton

1078 - 1134 Duke Guy le Breton: conquered large parts of Friland in 1078 and founded the duchy of Hiveria there, which he ruled in the name of the Norman king. However, in practice the duke was the sole ruler and in the history books he is therefore marked as the de facto Hiverian head of state. Guy's son and successor Thierry was imprisoned after false accusations by count Lothaire d'Alençon, who subsequently became duke himself.
