Stamps

The mail is mainly taken care of by the Haimiska Sandungsambaht (National Postal Service), which has little competition apart from a couple of courier services. The Haimiska Sandungsambaht is also a telephone- and internet provider.

Below are two examples of Frilandic stamps:

The left stamp is a so-called "allandmark" (international stamp), on which the Latin alphabet is also being used. The type to the right that only has Frilandic runes is more common. By the way, both stamps can be used for national and international mail traffic: the only function of stamps in the Latin alphabet is that foreigners who receive a Frilandic letter will be able to read what is on the stamp. For the same reason Frilandic stamps were created in 2005 that were in Cyrillic, Arab and Chinese writing. Someone who would like to write a letter to for example Russia, can therefore specifically ask for a Cyrillic stamp to please the recipient.
