Music

Frilandic music distincts itself with the use of traditional instruments like the lyre, harp, flute, drum, horn, violin, back pipe and rattle. It also often contains leitmotivs that represent the subjects of the song, comparable to the works of Wagner and Prokofiev but with the difference that this is not only usual in classical music but also in pop music.
Although about every music style is represented in Friland, the emphasis is on classic, folk music, metal, or a weird combination of these three. It would go too far to name all Frilandic music bands on this page, but those deserving of special mention are Þa Sparwan (folk music), Hludagarm (metal) and the composer Rikhard Hrudgarssun (classic).
