  DemographyInhabitants Friland At the last count Friland had 13,330,920 inhabitants. The majority of people live in a city. This is the result of attempts to keep human habitation and natural terrains separated as much as possible. So no morbid growth of villages but a number of large, densely populated urban areas. However, in recent years an increasing number of people is moving to the villages outside the big cities, to flee the crowds and noises. Government policy is focused on preventing a too large de- or increase of the population to prevent the problems associated with these. Since 2010 population growth is being stimulated because of the ageing population. Inhabitants Hiveria At the last count Hiveria had 4,246,140 inhabitants. The population of the big cities is growing fast, especially due to immigration. The more wealthy citizens on the other hand, are moving out to the suburbs, which causes deterioration in the cities and the forming of disadvantaged neighbourhoods. The Hiverian population has almost doubled in the last fifty years; especially in the province of Heunia is a large population increase. The last couple of years the Hiverian government tries to stimulate people to settle in Solaria and Danab in order to spread the population somewhat.  |
