| The Season Premiere of Friends Season 9 The season premeire of Friends aired on Thursday September 26, 2002. According to E! Online, it was was the most watched episode of Friends, raking in almost 33.3 million viewers. Rachel agreed to marry Joey, and Joey went along with it for a little while. Monica and Chandler are trying to make a baby in the janitor's closet. Pheoebe tells Ross about the proposal, but she thinks that Ross propsosed, and since Ross has been so tired he thinks so too. In the end, Joey confesses, and Rachel realizes as well does Ross. But Ross asks a question that makes a turn of events: "When you thought that Joey asked you to marry him, did you say yes...?" As well, Jennifer Aniston won the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy, for her role as Rachel Green.
