Friendly Hands Ministries was created primarily from a vision that God has been revealing over a period of time and on an observation that even though there are a number of ministries, human resources and economic assistance: the poor continue being poor, the old are being abandoned, the homeless continue begging for a living, and the children of the street continue in their dilemma. All of these mentioned are calling out for the message that will fulfill not only their physical economic, and/or material necessities, but also their spiritual needs.

As Christians, we have the responsibility to respond to the human need based on our abilities to help and beyond. Let’s preach with the example based on that Jesus Christ will bring good news to the poor and needy

"Friendly Hands Ministries" is based on the proposition that a charitable organizations:

1. To work within the guidelines of this country in order to not only be responsible to provide services to the needy, but also to take full advantage of donated items and time by volunteers and organizations.
2. To form a team of persons who are willing to work in the different divisions that will compose this ministry. The divisions will be administration, receiving, organizing and distribution. Donated items will be distributed to the persons or families of utmost need.
3. To form a group of persons or organizations who will become sponsors of this ministry. Included in this sponsorships will be monetary assistance that will be needed in the everyday operation of this ministry. Some examples of everyday expenses are: Telephone, internet, gasoline, building materials for housing repair assistance and in the future salary for fulltime staff.

This ministry will not only assist the needy in the City of Laredo, but also the surrounding communities, following the biblical principles of our Lord, Jesus Christ, beginning in Jerusalem, followed by Judea and Sumaria, and into the for reaches of the land. This ministry will be focused with an evangelical emphasis that with help, our community will become a better place to live in.
The basic needs that this ministry will provided will be: food, clothing and housing repair assistance for the needy, handicapped and aged. Other services will be provided as they become available and affordable.
All of these goals for the "Friendly Hands Ministries" will be realized by means of persons and organizations who will offer their assistance and services open - heartedly and voluntarily. The needy of Laredo and the surrounding communities will be reached and provided for so that their basic needs can be met.
