I started playing at age 15, but I didn't really want to. My dad bought my mom an acoustic guitar for her birthday. She took a few lessons and didn't like it, so she gave me the guitar and said "You're taking guitar lessons". I didn't really want to play, but I did for a couple months.
When I got into high school my friends had a band and they needed a guitar player. They asked me to play with them because I had an acoustic guitar. I told my mom to buy me an electric guitar and I would start playing again. I took lessons from multiple guitar teachers. I still have that first electric guitar (the blue one). It's now my main axe. I'm glad I stuck with it!
