| ����������� Many of today's talk shows are tearing down family values and corrupting our children.� Parents sit around speculating why their fourteen year-old sons are taking drugs and being arrested for stealing.� And they can't seem to figure out why their little twelve and thirteen year-old daughters are sexually promiscuous and becoming pregnant.� Perhaps they can begin to answer some of these questions by first taking a look at what their children are viewing on television. |
| ����������� There are various self-indulgent talk shows contaminating the minds of their viewers.� These shows often depict adult men and women viciously squabbling over members of the opposite sex.� The uncouth people on these shows are drowning in profanity.� Jerry Springer hosts one such show that is devaluing the decency of its viewers.� Not only do the guests on his show curse and make threats to one another, but also it is not unusual for a woman to bare her posterior for the audience. This particular show, as do most, targets adults, although numerous adolescents are not only exposed to the vulgarity, but watch intently.� |
| ����������� While the mainstream of talk shows involves only adults, there are some that devalues teenagers as well.� The Maury show, for one, has adolescents on his show partaking in DNA testing to find out who the biological father of a young girl's baby is.� Often, the teenage mother will be seated before an audience weeping with fear and humility, while the proposed father and his new girlfriend are laughing and cursing at her.� The language and gestures produced by these youngsters is utterly repulsive. |
| ����������� Jenny Jones is the host of yet another talk show that degrades adolescents.� The youngsters appearing on this show are usually disrespectful, rebellious, and totally out of control.� There are frequently young boys on this show that lash out violently against their own mothers as well as staying out late, stealing, and participating in gangs.� Likewise, there are an abundance of out-of-hand females, usually dressed in skimpy clothing and not ashamed to admit that they are sexually active.� Parents seem to have absolutely no control over these kids.� |
| ����������� Today's young generation is being exposed to and educated with the filthiest, most tasteless, and corruptible acts imaginable.� They are being desensitized to all the things that the generations before them have been taught were morally wrong.� How can an honest society claim that they care so much about children, all the while divulging them in a mockery of pure moral values on national television? |
