| Listed below are some guidelines for Canasta_Wolves TD's. Please read them carefully as it is important for us all to be familiar with the rules and procedures used in this league. We have a few basics we want all of our TDs to follow. NEW...When there are two members with similar names please make sure pairings have their full name listed, even if both members are not in the lobby. That will get rid of a lot of confusion for the members. Policy if someone is suspected of cheating (table talk) in a tourney: Anytime you, as a td or player, suspect someone of cheating or table talk here is what needs to be done: contact an admin right away, do not wait until later. . .if an admin is not available contact an htd, take screen shots (if you do not know how to take screen shots, ask someone to show you how, we can do nothing without proof), let the admin or htd take care of it. It is very important not to accuse anyone of cheating without consulting an admin. The admin or htd is the only one you need to consult about the problem. ALL Full/Speed/2 hander Tourneys are to be run at the TOP OF HR EX. 7, 8, 9, 10 ONLY. Check the calendar to make sure no games are hosted back to back. ALL Slam/bam (ONE HANDERS ONLY) Tourneys are to be run on the 1/2 hour Ex. 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 ONLY Ex: If you come in at 9:15 a.m. and there wasn't a tourney at 9 a.m. - do not make a full tourney for 9:30 a.m., make a slam bam at 9:30 or make a full tourney at 10. (FROM 1 A.M. TO 9 A.M. ANY TOURNEYS CAN BE MADE) No Slam Bams (No 1/2 Hour) Tourneys to be made before a doubles tourney - NO EXCEPTIONS. PLEASE. . .CLOSE ON TIME - CLOSE ON TIME - CLOSE ON TIME - If people are saying wait inform them that another tourney is starting soon but this one has to start now. Try and keep your spams to a 3 or 4 line maximum. Spam approximately once every 5 minutes and start spamming no more than an hour before your tourney. If there is a tourney 30 minutes before your tourney, please wait till that tourney is closed before you spam. Spam tourneys on messenger ONLY ONE TIME please. You MUST be here 30 minutes before your tourney time or your tournament may be moved or deleted. Every tourney must have the rules posted in the rules section of the tourney page. The name of your tourney and the rules for that tourney must match. Use ONLY our Canasta_Wolves rules that are on the Canasta_Wolves rules page. Always post the time, game, and game rules at the table. Make sure that you announce the correct winner in the lobby. And make DOUBLE sure that you mark the correct winner on the td administration page. If you post the incorrect winner on the tourney administration page please contact an admin as soon as possible. If a player is being disruptive or using foul language in the lobby please look for an admin to let them handle the situation. If there is not an admin available, please message a HTD and let them know that there is a problem and that there isn't an admin available. We do this in IMs, NOT IN THE LOBBY. If there is no admin or HTD available, please IM the person, if a person does not answer your IMs, please make a table and invite them. If they continue to decline then go to lobby and ask them to IM you or please come to the table. You are representing the league so please try and handle the situation the best you can. Do not get confrontational or abusive, if it starts to get to that point you need to let an admin or HTD handle it, even if that means leaving a message for an admin and letting them follow up when they get online. We all love to play, but please try and look at the calendar when you come online and see if there is a gap you might be able to help fill by hosting a tourney. PLEASE PLEASE please......if you make a tourney, please show to run it. (We do know that emergencies do happen and understand that). Its not fair to others to run your tourneys and not get credit for them. If someone does NOT show to run a tourney or make arrangements with someone to run it, an admin needs to be notified. If this happens often, their TD or HTD status may be suspended. Please watch the lobby when spamming for tourneys. If a TD has just spammed pairings . . wait 3-5 mins. for peeps to read them before spamming your tourney. It is recommended and encouraged that When Hosting a Tournament - do not play in other tournaments. You cannot concentrate on your tables while you are playing another game. It is not fair to your players. New TD's - DO NOT play in tournaments and host a tournament during your first 5. |

CONDUCT |
| It is important to remember that as a TD, you are representing our league when you are hosting and when you are playing. You are the first impression that our members have of us. Our MAIN rule is KEEP IT OUT OF THE LOBBY! People will follow the example you set. If you are in the lobby cussing, being rude and vulgar, or yelling at other players, then people think that is ok. AND THAT IS NOT OK! You need to exhibit good sportsmanship, even if you are losing/lost the game. Remember you're representing the league in your playing and conduct. Never belittle your opponents or leave games because you're mad that you lost. If you continually conduct yourself in an unsportsmanlike manner you will receive a warning. Failure to heed the warning will be cause for removal as a TD. Also, do not be an ungracious winner. It is only a game, and supposed to be fun. Someone has to lose, and sometimes it will be you. DO NOT argue in the lobby! Any TD that is arguing in the lobby will be boxed for the first offense for 3 days, the second offense 7 days, the third offense the TD will no longer be on our staff. DO NOT discuss TD matters in the lobby, IM the TDs! If you are having a problem with another TD, try to work it out between the two of you. If you cannot get it worked out, then go to an admin. |

SINGLES TOURNAMENTS |
| In a tourney players are allowed one brb and 2 boots from yahoo or 10 mins of missing in action, whichever comes first. If a player is frozen, the 10 minutes begins with the time on the idle timer. For example if they freeze in game and cannot play but have not been booted by yahoo -- the idle timer will begin the 10 minutes allowed for MIA. After that allocatedtime the opponent will advance to the next round of the tourney. Slow play: Slow play is taking more than 2 minutes to play. . .after two warnings the TD will give the player a BRB - only 1 brb is allowed per game. . .3rd warning means disqualification (DQ'ed) and the game is canceled. Please use common sense in regard to brb's, if a person takes a brb but is only gone for 30 seconds do not count it. A brb = 2 mins. If a player has been gone longer than 2 mins please start a MIA timer. Singles games are 45 minutes. Please watch the time and give them a warning when there is 10 minutes remaining on their time. If need be call last hand BEFORE the last hand, not in the middle of a hand. At the beginning of each game please check to make sure kibitz is off. If it is on, please ask at the table for kibitz to be turned off. If that person still does not turn kibitz off pls im that player and ask them in im to turn kibitz off. If both players are mia at the beginning of a tournament game. Please put both players on a MIA timer. If neither player returns by the end of the MIA time, please advance the player that would have invited. The player that go the win because they were the inviter does not get to resume play in the next round if they return because they have already timed out of the tourney. |

DOUBLES TOURNAMENTS |
| After 20 tournaments TD’s can run doubles. Please get with your trainer for your first doubles tournament. Game time for a doubles tournament is 60 minutes. Doubles Subs - In doubles tourneys, the timer to get a sub is 3. If a player does not return after 3 minutes then the TD is to go to the lobby and get a sub. If the player returns before the game is over, the sub will let original player have their seat back. A team is NEVER dq’d in a doubles tourney UNLESS both original team members are MIA. In doubles tourneys each person is still allowed one brb and 2 boots from yahoo, if one of the team makes is booted from yahoo 2 times the sub will finish that game. Then the original team mate may play in the next round if they advance. Do not schedule doubles tourneys back to back. Please leave at least one hour between them. |

SWISS TOURNAMENTS |
| Game times for singles swiss is 45 minutes. Doubles swiss is 60 minutes. MIA timers, brb’s and boots rules are same as above depending on if it is singles or doubles. Swiss tournaments are to be at least 3 hours apart. SWISS TOURNAMENTS - True Swiss = In True Swiss System format, the number of rounds is preset by the TD before the tournament starts and regardless of the number of registrations, the number of rounds does not change once the tournament begins. (The TD can manually change the number of rounds prior to the tournament.) After all the rounds are complete, the player with the most points wins. If there is no conclusive point leader, there is no winner of the tournament. However, as an example of a true swiss system, suppose there is an undefeated player after 5 rounds of play, and the tournament is set for 8 rounds of play, the tournament does not stop, giving those players who have already a lost a chance to win the tournament. Reg Swiss = The tournament is finished as soon as there is only one player remaining who is undefeated. (The number of rounds is set before the tournament in order to specify a maximum number of players. If the tournament is set for six(6) rounds, this does not guarentee that there will be six rounds of play since players withdrawing from the tournament may shorten the rounds required to reach an undefeated player. If for some reason after the given number of rounds has been played and there is still more than one undefeated player, the tournament will be extended in order to determine a winner.) No one receives a bye more than once in a swiss tournament. And no teams should play each other twice. |
