| DARCY, my second Golden Retriever, has proved the most wonderful dog. Everybody who meets him falls in love. He has fathered beautiful progeny; he has withstood the onslaughts of my growing grandchildren (it's fair to say they learned how to - and how not to - treat a dog, on Darcy); he has brought joy and affection into the lives of our elders in nursing homes; calmed students in a special teaching unit (for students that mainstream schools can't handle); starred in the ESC production of Annie; and given me untold love, companionship and comfort. |
