Copyright Laura, grussell@net-port.com Chapter Two ~ ~ ~ The Son Residence ~ ~ ~ Chichi was at home stirring soup for her family while she was humming a soft tune. Chichi sipped the hot soup, and added a bit more spices to it then she turned the stove off. She then spotted Goku and Goten coming up the pathway to came and eat their supper. "Hello, Goku, Goten. How was training?" Chichi wiped her hands on her apron, and smiled at the boys. "Pretty good. Dad is training me on how to become Super Saiyan 2 and 3." Goten replied as he sat down at the table with Goku. "Chichi, where’s the food? I’m starving!" Goku licked his lips hungrily and Chichi pouted. "You’re teaching our last son to be one of them monsters!?" Chichi stamped her foot. "Goku! I had enough of this monster crap! Now eat before I throw it at you." Chichi thrust the bowls of rice, mashed potatoes, and soup at the two-saiyan boys, and they "dug" in eagerly. After dinner Chichi brought up the situation with Sansai and Pan. "Goku, what happened in the city with the bank robbers?" Chichi asked suspiciously. "Well, there was some bank robbers and they tried to rob a bank to get money—" "I KNOW WHAT BANK ROBBERS ARE GOKU!" Chichi screamed. "OK, OK, well two schoolgirls tried to stop them and one of them got shot. The one that got shot was fifteen and the other one was estimated to be sixteen or seventeen. What’s up?" Goku asked through a mouthful of rice. "Well, what was their descriptions? Anything you recognize?" Chichi crossed her arms and scowled at him. "Let’s see…" Goku scratched the side of his head as he tried to think. "Well the fifteen year old had black hair and eyes and she wore a red shirt and jeans…and the seventeen year old wore a blue shirt and orange pants with a pale orange bag. Anything else, Goten?" Goku asked Goten who was stuffing his face silently. "‘Ell t’ey sai’ that the se’entee’ year ol’ blas’ed the ro’bers and heale’ the injure’ one." Goten said through a mouthful of rice and mashed potatoes. "Yeah, that’s the rest of it." Goku said and went back to eating. "GOKU! DO YOU NOT KNOW YOUR OWN GRANDAUGHTERS WHEN YOU SEE THEM? SANSAI BLASTED THE ROBBERS OUT OF PAIN FOR PAN! AND MY POOR PAN WAS SHOT!" Chichi wiped away a tear at the corner of her eye with her apron. "My poor Pan…and good heavens Sansai healed her in time. THEY DIDN’T EVEN GO TO SCHOOL!" "Well…umm…Chichi…Pan was shot?" Goten asked horrified. "Yes, Pan was shot! Do I have to repeat myself every time I speak?" Chichi asked sarcastically. "No…not really." Goku answered her truthfully. "GOKU!" Chichi swatted him in the face with her apron, frowned at him, scowled at Goten, and then left the kitchen with her chin held high. ~ ~ ~ Gohan’s Residence ~ ~ ~ Gohan sat on a chair in Pan’s bedroom, admiring her belongings. Pan wasn’t home because she was shopping with Marron, Bra, and Sansai. Pan had healed successfully without delay, and Sansai was the heroine in this story for saving her life. Gohan couldn’t believe that a robber shot Pan with a gun. Out of all the things that could have killed her from a Ki blast or an explosion or a grown saiyan, it was a gun! Videl had fainted when she heard about her daughter being shot, and how her other daughter deliberately showed her power to the city. "Gohan?" Videl walked inside of Pan’s room as she spotted him sitting with his head in his hands looking distressed and confused. "Gohan, are you all right?" Videl sat down in front of him on Pan’s bed, and swiped a black strand from his eyes. "Yes. I’m fine but I don’t see why that stupid woman shot Pan with a gun. I mean I was almost destroyed by a Ki blast! But with a gun?" Gohan shook his head and rubbed his temples out of confusion. "Yes you were almost destroyed, but Pan is strong. She couldn’t have made it without Sansai’s help. And plus, nobody ever done that by putting half of their life into saving somebody. The only thing was putting your energy into something but Sansai basically put all of her life into saving her." Videl replied smoothly. "Yeah well Sansai is a pure blooded saiyan, she can put nearly all of her energy into somebody else without tiring. But that’s not the point!" Gohan stood up and paced the room. "Sansai means a lot to the world, she is one of the last that still has the power to become super saiyan and fight with immense power. Marron and Bra don’t fight so that leaves Trunks, Sansai, Pan, and Goten. I doubt Goten will fight unless someone is in danger. Ubuu can fight and Dad is getting a bit too old." Gohan chuckled at the thought of Goku trying to fight with a long white beard and crippled, but Goku is still the same old self and that was good. "But if she’s a pure blooded saiyan then how come she hasn’t been able to achieve it yet?" Videl asked curiously. "I don’t know why, but I do know that something is holding her back from turning saiyan and she must overcome and face her fears because the world’s destiny is on that young girl’s shoulders." Gohan replied, and Videl and Gohan worked all day to find the answer. ~ ~ ~ The Briefs’ Residence ~ ~ ~ Bulma was in her laboratory with her father working on a watch that was designed to do anything you asked of it. Bulma wiped sweat off from her forehead, and sighed. "All finished!" Dr. Briefs replied happily. "Thank goodness. I thought we would never finish it. Let me try it." Bulma took the watch delicately from Dr. Briefs and tied it onto her wrist. "Now what?" "Ask it something. Ask it for a…pie." Dr. Briefs smiled. "Vanilla pie!" Bulma licked her lips hungrily. "Watch, give me a vanilla pie." Bulma waited for a second when a blurry white substance blinded her view, and she heard her father laugh in the background with another voice. The pie was smashed against her face, and as she wiped it away she saw Trunks on the floor laughing very, very hard. "Mom…that….was…so funny!" Trunks said through fits of giggles. "I’m glad that you think so." Bulma said sarcastically and she slammed the watch onto the table. "You better fix it dad." Bulma stormed out of the room heading towards the bathroom to clean up her face. Ten minutes later Bulma appeared with a clean face and a towel wrapped around her neck. "Its been hours since them girls been out shopping. I guess they have their mothers’ touches!" Bulma said happily. Trunks seemed to be gone, and Dr. Briefs was stooping over the watch and he sat back in his chair and stretched. "That’s good enough my dear. Tomorrow we’ll work on it." Dr. Briefs rose to get up when Bulma stopped him. "I have to ask you a question Dad. There was a bank robbery and Pan and Sansai was there. Sansai stopped it but Pan was shot and was nearly killed. Sansai gave most of her life to save her, and that takes a lot of courage! Sansai means a lot to this world. Did you now that?" "No…no not really." Dr. Briefs rubbed his chin. "Do you know her name? Do you know what it means?" Bulma sat down across from him. "No." "Her name is Sansai Idaten Kago Sakaki Kajin. Sansai means three powers; heaven, earth, and man. Idaten means guardian. Kago means divine protection. Sakaki means sacred. Kajin means beautiful woman. Put it all together and see what you get." Bulma got up and walked out of the room thinking of the meaning. She is the beautiful, sacred, guardian of heaven, earth, and man who gives divine protection to all. She thought happily. Earth is in her hands right now. Bulma left the laboratory with high hopes, knowing all the future. ~ ~ ~ Gohan’s Residence ~ ~ ~ When Sansai and Pan returned home they began to train immediately, and they both tried to achieve Super Saiyan. "Come on Pan. Keep it up!" Sansai cheered Pan on from the sidelines as she powered up to her maximum. The grass blew like it was a great windstorm, and a white substance surrounded the body of Pan. She arched her neck backwards as she screamed to call the power deep within, and the trees’ roots came loose and flew as the air carried it away. Pan cried out as a surge of hidden energy came loose, but for an odd reason her energy blacked out and she stopped the transformation. Pan fell to her knees and lay on her back from the loss of energy it took, and she closed her eyes for a brief second. The pain in the middle of her chest wasn’t that great, but it stung. She thought that she would never be the same. "Pan?" Sansai’s voice broke into her thoughts, and she sat up quickly. "I’m ok, it just took a lot of energy that’s all." Pan grabbed the offered hand of Sansai, and she stood. "Pan, are you alright? With your injury I mean?" "Yeah! I’m not a weakling you know." Pan looked offended, but she knew the Sansai didn’t mean it in that way. "Sorry, Pan. I’m just worried that’s all. We better get home or else we’ll be stuck out here in the dark." Sansai looked up at the darkening sky, and the stars began to come into view. The stars twinkled at her as she flew with Pan towards her home. Her home. Darkness surrounded her again, but this time she didn’t feel the pain, anger, and despair that it brought upon her. She wasn’t alone, in front of her was a large rock, and the woman named Ajina was sitting on it with her back turned. "Hello, Sansai. You’re finally healed and yet you do not heed my warning. That Ki blast from the forest was not out of coincidence that was from one of the great evils that will haunt you forever." Ajina turned and faced her. "Sansai, leave! You must leave! My death and your father’s was not by accident! It was planned by the evil that will kill you too. You must heed my warning, Shinja, Akuma, and Akujin was there when you were at the clearing. That was how close you were to being destroyed! LEAVE!" Ajina’s image disappeared and Sansai woke up sweating. Sansai shook her head to forget the thought of Shinja, Akuma, and Akujin. ‘Who were they anyway?’ She asked herself. Sansai rolled over and went back to sleep to find another nightmare hidden beneath the shadows again. A black sun was hovering over her head and filled her with a sensation of wickedness. Odd how it was black, and it was also odd how the land was black and not normal like the grass is green. The grass was of a strange black dull color. And the trees’ leaves were made of black emeralds and the trunks were a dark brown. The sea was made of a silky black substance and it lay still, and as she looked right, there was a man standing two feet from her, staring at her. "Who are you?" she asked and her voice echoed softly in the air. "I am your friend and you should trust me on what I have to say." His voice seemed to hiss, and his presence was filled with poisonous snakes. "You are not in grave danger on Earth, and you should not heed your mother’s warning for it is a fraud. Trust me and you’ll know everything about you." "Why should I?" Sansai braced herself for an attack because she felt quite uneasy around him. "Because you should trust me. I am Lord Shinja, and I have come here to tell you everything you need to know. Trust me." Lord Shinja had a black cobra coiling around his right biceps, he wore a black medallion around his neck made of some kind of black gold and it was branded with a green cobra showing it’s venomous fangs. He had dark brown hair and alert black eyes; he wore white pants, a black waistband, and wore a black jacket that barely covered his muscular chest. And on his left side of his chest showing the two cobras twisting around a black and golden crown. He also wore a small traveling black and gold crown symbolizing his rank, and the cobras symbolizing his venomous power. "Who are you?" Sansai asked again. "I am the King of Snakes and I am here to gain your trust. Haven’t I already told you that? Yes well I am one of the last kings or lords or gods of the Jakenians, and you must join us. If you do, you will be the Queen of Evil." "Why would I do that?" Sansai asked as she backed up. "I don’t want nothing to do with your snakes or your evil doing! Jakenians mean evil, evil spirits, evil everything! I am not evil because I am Sansai Idaten Kago Sakaki Kajin, and I protect the weak and innocent! I will never join you!" Sansai replied, not knowing where that had come from. Lord Shinja grew very angry. "Then you shall feel the power of my wrath!" the hissing of snakes echoed in her ears, getting louder and louder every passing minute. The pain, anger, and despair erupted through her body again and she fell to her knees in agony. Her chest felt like it was being tore apart and her heart being taken from her. Lord Shinja laughed at her pain, and Sansai was blinded by her pain, and deaf by the hissing snakes. Sansai cried out in pain, tears streamed down her cheeks, her hair was frayed, and her dark blue eyes filled with pain. The darkness’ hands again wrapped their filthy hands around her heart, and it shook with such a desire and fed from her fear, pain, anger, and despair. She felt she was dying when she passed out seeing the laughing faces of the darkness and of Lord Shinja.
