A lot of people say that Aeris loves Cloud, but I think that is wrong. I think her true love is Zack, Cloud's friend.... Here is why I believe this...
-Aeris said Cloud "reminded her of someone". I think that "someone" is Zack, her TRUE love. I think she really missed Zack and liked Cloud's company because he reminded her of him.
-Before Zack was killed, on the way to Midgar in the truck, he said to Cloud that he had "someone he could stay with" and then he said "oh wait the mother lives there too". Clearly he was referring to Aeris, who I believe was HIS true love.
-Aeris' adoptive mother says how Aeris was very upset when Zack died, and how it was hard for her to get over it.
-Due to all this, it is my opinion that Aeris loved Cloud as a friend only. Aeris was the one that changed Cloud, because she brought him out of his shell and that is what helped him to find himself. I think Tifa and Cloud are meant for eachother, and Aeris wasn't trying to STEAL Cloud because she really loved Zack. She just liked to spend time with Cloud because he reminded her of Zack. I believe when Aeris died and returned to the Lifestream she was reunited with her true love Zack. |
