Got my salary. Damn. That's too much deductions. I switched schedule, I didn't absent my work days. Well, I didn't get to correct my DTR because elnk train didn't have it. nsi fax didn't have it either. I can't print it coz Finance operates on normal biz hours. 8-5. means i'm at home that time, sleeping. sigh, payslip will be distributed in a week or so. what a lousy entry. 10.29.03 02.30am around this time tomorrow, the eagle will land. slight change in sked: 9pm to 6am... due to DST. and a little correction, yesterday's aht was 19min. that's a big one minute diff. since i noted that i've been missing a good read these past few months, i will be getting some neil gaiman books from my bro. i believe he has neverwhere, stardust and coraline. i haven't read those three. deeply craves to fill self with fiction. among gaiman's works, i have only read smoke and mirrors, american gods, the time of your life, and the last three books of sandman. i will buy his latest, wolves in the wall. learned yesterday that my seatmate and i shared kindred interests regarding the occult. vamps to be exact. he will be lending me a discovery special on vampire folklore, perhaps a book or two. looking forward to that. edited 4.30am while jacking partner is taking a very looong time trouble-shooting a total access issue. 10.28.03 09.30pm nesting day 1. aht: at least 20min. 10.27.03 08.10pm going live... 10.24.03 04.50pm i miss a good book. 10.22.03 09.40pm 10.21.03 1.00am Fiendster Quite frankly, I'm sick of this friendster crap. You know, signing up to friendster and meeting registered friends online, that in itself is fine. Who wouldn't be happy to finally get in touch with a high school buddy after all these years through the online community? Right. So all is good until.. *nostrils flaring, tries to breathe evenly* Until your seatmate, friends, officemates, people you have everyday contact with, even acquantances, start bugging you to sign up to friendster and add their name on your list. Man, they'll even sit by your station and walk you thru the thing until they are listed on your buddy list. I mean, how desperate can you get? I'm working for crying out loud. [Well, I'm blogging but it doesn't matter] Went to the mall the other day and met an old friend I haven't seen for years. Exchanged exclamation-filled hellos and next thing I hear....FRIENDSTER.. SHOULD SIGN-UP.. SHOULD ADD ME.. EVERYONE THERE. Oh my God, my mind was reeling. Sure, yeah, whatever. Nice seeing ya! GOT. TO. GO. Looking forward to that. It's almost five in the morning. Need to get six hours sleep then alot a couple of hours to review for my training midterm exam later at three pm. What we studied for forty-eight hours, I'll cramp up to two. Not that bad. [I used to study three hundred years of medieval history for five hours.] Hope I'll pass this one though. Wish me luck. We were choosing between American Pie and The Suspect. The former's been showing here for a few weeks now. Thinking we should watch it already. Don't really like Am Pie humor but Buffy's Alison Hannigan is there so what the heck. Let's see the most powerful witch on TV get married to the pie guy. So out of curiosity we checked out the poster for The Suspect and lo and behold, Robert De Niro, Eliza Dushku, Frances McDorm-- Huwhat? ELIZA DUSHKU? ELIZA DUSHKU! It's City By The Sea disguising as The Suspect. Weeee! Butter popcorn and two large cokes please. Now we know our money's not on the witch. 10.17.03 10.30am Webspace Because of a booboo I won't bother discussing here, I have purposely deactivated the splash page. That's www.thedeathofcinderella.com.ph . I will reactivate it in a week or so. Spent some time creating webpages from livejournal and earthlink. What's nice about live journal is the high level of security. No one will be able to access your page until you unlock it or make it public. Even if you type in the correct keywords, as long as the site is protected, the site is safe from public viewing. On the other hand, with earthlink, there are a million of designs and customizations to choose from. I think that's neat. The templates choices are very well organized. Many options to choose from without confusing the novice user. 10.16.03 2.30am Nocturnal moments It's 2.00am. Conferencing with Storm and Fyro now. Fyro went out to get pizza ingredients, so she's not very responsive at the moment. I'm still in the office. I got off training 2 hours ago. I'm doing OT work. Okay, I'm supposed to be doing OT work. OT for me is surfing. Basically I'm getting paid to update my blogger. And chat on yahoo. Ain't life sweet? So, in training, I'm learning things like power cycling the modem, connecting coaxial cables, releasing an IP, etc. A bit tekky but not very unlike with previous client. That one involved dns resolution, domain redemption, etc. See, these are all words. But it's fairly easy, as long as you master the tool navigation. The difficult part is the soft skills. The delivery. Sigh. Prolly need to work on that. 10.14.03 11.40pm Underworld I watched Underworld last weekend. I actually enjoyed the movie. Kate Beckinsale did an impressive job as a vampire warrior Selene (her gang is called the Death Dealers). They aimed to eliminate the whole werewolf rebel clan, (called Lycans). The man to wolf tranfiguration was very eekie and so, amazing for me. Lycans were fierce and terrifying. And the Oz-kin were originally enslaved to aristocratic Angeluses. My Anne Rice obssession was rekindled a bit. Pandora, Armand, Louis, Lestat..anyway. Vamps lived in mansions while Lycans wandered in sewers. Ergo, I want to embrace Kindred. No, no to sewers. Too bad I missed you guys the other night. Coz you know, Power Plant is very far from my place. Kidding. I got home late. Training and all. See you guys soon!
