November 2003 11.30.03 4.00pm Alanis's fourth cd is expected to be released February. It is to be titled So Called Chaos, (overly dramatic title for a record again). MTV says the music will include everything from soft ballads to dance music to pure rock. I also read that she will appear in the off-Broadway play "The Exonerated," first week December in New York. If you remeber two years ago Alanis donated $150 for the play Jane Eyre when the same director annouced they were closing the curtains for the play. The donation allowed the show to run a couple more weeks. Now she'll portray Sunny Jacobs for Exonerated, woman freed from death row after her murder conviction is overturned. Hopefully i could download clips from the play. I have audio clips of her performance for the V-Monologues. They were super hilarious. :] 11.29.03 4.00pm What Religion Should You Subscribe To? brought to you by Quizilla Looks like you're a Buddhist, buddy. Now that you know THAT, it's time to get to work on that "escaping the eternal torment of reincarnation" thing. But hey, be patient - it probably won't happen in THIS life. 11.26.03 3.00pm I can't belive this person is moving back to Cebu. Well I hope you'll continue your "success" on the PS floor on the Visayan soil. Don't miss us too much. More power to your chess games also. You know what I mean. Miss you for sure. On a much sadder note, today, after barely seven weeks with elnk, I received my (tada!) final written warning. Lol, what can I say, I'm a major schedule adherence violator. And why do I sound so proud? I absent at least two days per week, go on half days and got my share of tardiness and I've had one ncns to boot. Lol. Sigh. I don't take it against anyone. My supe is ok. It's no one's fault but mine. Just can't drag my lazy ass to work. Not to mention I haven't completed my pre-employment requirements with PS. But I've been employed by PS for more nine months now without those requirements. Makes you wonder how I lasted this long. Such a sneak. Still on shift. Catch y'all later! 11.25.03 3.30pm Monique had a million-dollar question so we had to meet. You know those things. So the other day I met up with her at PageOne (although now it's no longer called PageOne but I forgot the new name). We met up at the kids section, that area is a bit elevated and carpeted and that's were I read Buffy books. (I also read the entire Monologues there without spending a cent for the book. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I read the Vagina Monologues at the kids section). So we went and watched X-Men 2 at Crepes de France or whatever the resto is called, I don't remember. I had a tall strawberry and banana slush which I didn't finish. Niq has a scoop, or a spoon of choco ice cream with a difficult name. So she was telling me about the usual, almost-but-not-quite-Press-Coffee-stuff only the situation is reversed, somehow. To text or not to text. That is the question. Left unanswered the whole time. Instead I watch Phyro toss fire at the cops that shot Wolverine in the forehead. So I helped her buy some pants at Human. Grudgingly. As I didn't have money to go on shopping. After the three-minute time limit I gave her, we went over to Gram's Diner and had expensive but tasty yet relatively small portion of homemade meatloaf. She had the swordfish meal I wanted. She tricked me into ordering the meatloaf. It's alright, at least she got me a latte after. Too bad this person and this person couldn't join us. Wussies. Her rents picked us up and dropped me off the dorm. Later that night I texted her the answer: "Not to text." Nice excuse you got there just to hang. *smirk* 11.24.03 3.00pm -received this through email a month ago- i practically rotfl! just wanted to share a few moments of wicked laughter.. TRADITIONAL ECONOMICS You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull. Your herd multiplies and the economy grows. You retire on the income. INDIAN ECONOMICS You have two cows. You worship them. PAKISTAN ECONOMICS You don't have any cows. You claim that the Indian cows belong to you. You buy the cows with all this and claim exploitation by the world. AMERICAN ECONOMICS You have two cows. You sell one and force the other to produce the milk of four cows. FRENCH ECONOMICS You have two cows. You go on strike because you want three cows. GERMAN ECONOMICS You have two cows. You reengineer them so that they live for 100 years, eat once a month and milk themselves. BRITISH ECONOMICS You have two cows. They are both mad cows. ITALIAN ECONOMICS You have two cows. 11.19.03 3.00pm So I have two new roomies. They moved in at midnight. Can you believe it? Yeah people here are weird. Woke me up at the dead of the night. Good thing the room still spacious though.. But yay more people on the floor. We have different shifts though, at least that's good bathroom news. And they're all from PS too, thus the shifting. Not much news to tell. We've been checking out houses and apartments near the office. Other than that, don't go out much. We just dinner and head straight to bed. I'm getting a microwave so we won't have to go out anymore. Can't get any lazier than that. I'm craving for pizza. I only ate instant noodles for lunch. I'm wolfish. We decided not to go out for lunch. We've been lunching at the enterprise for the past couple of days. That's a ten minute walk from our building so it eats up our lunch time. Plus I need to lose ten pounds. Then again, who doesn't nowadays.. *sigh* I still don't have a real book to read so I'm actually browsing through A Purpose-driven Life. *raises eyebrows* And yey tomorrow's my rest day! I pobably need to go to Pampanga. *shrugs* 11.16.03 4.00pm My first time to go to work since monday. And i even had the audacity to go on a half day. Four hours slipped fast. Will go home after I pass some papers in SC. I have two new roommates moving in right about now. Check on them later. I watched Wrong Turn with Veen. Eliza Dushku my fave! Not much to tell. Cannibals. Mountain men. Deep forrests of West Virginia. Desmond Harrington. Stan Winston. Last night went to the wake of my college friend's dad. Situation was very sad but we managed to share a laugh or two only because we haven't seen each other in months i'm betting even a year. Jd couln't come with us because he was in tarlac. His lola passed away. Pray for the eternal repose of their dead's souls. Even if they're born again christians.. 11.13.03 11.00pm I haven't blogged in a week. I wasn't really busy. As a matter of fact, haven't been reporting to work for the past two days. And today's my rest day. Long vacation. I'm such a sloth. I watched Matrix Rev with Veenster and maybe not everybody liked it but I actually enjoyed the war scenes. Something about the man-operated giant robots was hilarious though, specially when they raised their fists in unison to scream their futile battle cry against the sentinels. "We'll give them hell!" I actually laughed out loud because it looked liked those heavy machinery will kill the captains if not the swarm of sents they were shooting at. But whatever, that's so not the point. :D And major factor I didn't like: I didn't like how Neo calls Trinity "Trin". Yay, made me cringe. What? I didn't say I was a professional film critic. Anyway, the war between Zion and the machines was over, but I didn't get it. Were all the minds freed? Were all the people trapped in the matrix released? I thought that was what The One was for. After watching the Matrix, Veen and I went to play a couple of games at the Arcade at Power. We raced against each other on the High Speed Track. I drove ala Nyobi and I won! On Tekken, I fought like Trinity and beat Jin Katama to a bloody pulp. I'm such a geek. Earlier today I met up with Ria at Glorietta. As usual I made Godo look punctual. But anyway we were supposed to be with Mark but he did another one of his disappearing acts. So Ri and I hung around for a while. I had coffee. No smokes. We applied for new credit cards at the Standard Chartered booth. I actually wany to get BPI because of those no interest appliance sales they have. But SC was the one there. And we were hoping we'd both get the civics that were being raffled. :) Jontan, how are you? My condolences again. 11.08.03 I'm gonna watch Matrix Revolution! It's Saturday, I'm sure the moviehouse is packed but good thing I get off at 4. Maybe I could catch a showing before nightfall. :D I haven't been smoking. It's been two or three months since I last bought a pack of Marlboro Lights. I've touched maybe one or two sticks in between. It wasn't so hard to quit because of several aiding factors: :D 1) Someone nagged me to quit. Which is very good and helpful. Totally appreciated. :D 2) I fell sick for a week. Sore throat. :( <-- This is always a good deterent. :D 3)I was always tired when from work when I got home and crashed directly to my welcoming bed. ..so there wasn't much time to lay around, smoke my lungs off while watching tv or doing nothing. 4) I don't hung out at coffeehouses anymore. [it was undeniable how caffeine and nicotine went together.] That's it. I'm now on day shift. 7 am. I can't decide if I like day shift or night shift. Both suck. As long as your with this client. Impossible transactions givin' me the headaches. I want to go back to Notwork Sol even if he's VeriSly. :D But then again, I think he's no longer VeriSly! NotSol ppl? :D 11.07.03 ![]() Rock... You got the best result, dude. What type of music are you?(with pics) brought to you by Quizilla 11.05.03 02.30pm From Death Clock |
