Years Surfing: 11, maybe 12. I was lucky
that my mom loved to go to the beach. I grew up playing in and around the
ocean, so it was natural to become a surfer.

|
Strongest Maneuver: Frontside
off-the-lip snap with lots of speed and power. Although, if there was only one
maneuver I could do, I would have to say a nice big tube. It has always
been and will always be the greatest feeling in surfing.
|
|
Strongest Influence: My family and friends.
When I was younger, Kelly Slater was my greatest influence as well as Tom
Carroll and people I saw at the beach. Nowadays, it is funny because most
of my friends are the ones that influence my surfing, like all the Malibu and Ventura boys. Guys
like Shea and Cory Lopez, the Irons brothers, Kalani Robb, Kelly Slater and Justin Golnik. I appreciate
good, solid surfing.
|
|
Goals: To always be happy with what I do
and where I am going. To push my surfing to higher levels with bigger airs,
bigger turns and bigger tubes. In the future I want to run a successful
business, surf forever and Be Happy!

Advice to Groms: You can
do or be anything you want in life. All you need is the desire to do so.
Don't let anyone tell you different.

Surfboard Quiver: My favorite board is a 6'2" zx 18" x 2 1/8" and a 6'4" x 18" x
2 1/4" shaped by Chris Stezel of Stone Tylyer Shapes. My quiver consists of a few 6'2"s,
a couple of 6'4"s, a 6'8", 6'9", 7'3", 8'0",
8'6", and a 9'6". All are relatively the same thickness and width
(2 1/4" and 18"), except for my boards that are 7'6" and
bigger. They are usually thicker and wider.
