| We the people wrote the Constitution, Another lie, another disillusion. Fellow Americans- Walk behind me, standing tall and proud. Silence your guns for a moment. If they don't like it- fine. Nevermind. Let it slip for a while, When they die, the problem goes away. What is that? Capital Punishment? Yes. Crack smoking rebels causing anarchistic statistics. My mind is made up- I'm not going. So you may as well rebel to save your fort, Tear mercy from slavery. That's the state of the world today, my friends. And absolutely nothing will change if we don't use force. We could eliminate the death penalty and sacrifice our justice, Sacrifice our freedom. We will make nothing better. So I'll be the bigger person and change my ways to suit your needs, as if you could not survive Without the change. Like spare change- You have none. So why try to step on my life reality? Why tread on my self morality? Why lie when the truth fits better? What will you do when your truth is a lie? Or don't you think that's possible? Don't believe what I say. Don't believe the world is tragic. But you can believe I'll be here. I'll be here standing on the verge of humanity waiting for you. I will wait until you're through talking. I will listen as you specify what it is you want from me. I'll give you everything in return for a minute of your time. But because you won't give, And because I won't move, We both get NoWhere. -Mars- |
