SOCIETY

Preppies and 4.0 snobs,
cowboys, rockers, and skaters,
freaks and outcasts.
Too many names for a person.

"What are you?"  they ask,
a difinitive answer expected.

I say I am human,
beyond that, female.
I am what I wish to be,
an individual not a group.

Another question:
"With whom do you belong?"

I say with my fellow beings,
though I can be a freak.
I belong where I wish to fit in,
be it among freaks or preppies.

Narrow minds define society,
not all of humanity.
