No credit will be given for the wrong assignment or incomplete assignments. *It is important that students pay attention and participate orally, as a grade will be given for oral participation. *Students must speak French as much as possible during the class period. *If extra help is needed, I am available after school once a week except on Tuesday. *In the event a student is absent, it is the responsibility of the student to make up the missed *Homework, quiz, or test. If a student is present when a test or quiz is announced but is Absent the day of the test or quiz, he or she is expected to make up the test or quiz in class the day he returns. *Exceptions will be made for prolonged illness. Any work that is not made up will receive a grade of 0%. Attendance Excellent attendance is absolutely essential in order to have success in achieving a high level of proficiency in a foreign language. Tests, quizzes, and homework assignments can be made up and credit will be given if the absence is excused. But it is impossible for a student to make up the most important parts of the language class: student interaction and practice, oral drills, and listening comprehension activities. According to the AISA tardy policy, the teacher will give a student who arrives tardy for the first time a verbal warning. After the third tardy, the student will be assigned detention. (Three tardies = a detention) Homework is a necessary part of successful language learning. It reinforces and Practices concepts learned in class, concepts which are too difficult to be mastered in class. It is imperative that students be prepared to do approximately two hours minimum homework per week I have read French foreign language policy regarding grading and classroom expectations and I understand how the grade will be calculated. _______________________________________________ (students signature) _____________________ ______________________________________________ (Date) (parent's signature) |
