Early Saturday morning Richard and I arrived at Myerton Tennessee. We

flew in to a small airport where Verne and his lupa Roxanne was

waiting. Jamil and Shang-Da was brought with us, by Richard's orders.

Shang-Da whined all the way from St. Louis, until Jamil put him out of

his misery, by knocking him out. Richard had called ahead to let his

mom know that we were coming for a visit. Richard's mom was happy to have

us all for Christmas and couldn't wait to meet me. I wished the

feelings was mutual because to tell you the truth, I was scared

shitless. Nathaniel and Zane, along with Cherry had let me in on a

little bit about his family. After hearing what they knew, I became

extremely frightened. I so didn't want to go and meet her now. Call me

chicken, but thats just how I felt. Richard had a hard time getting me

on the plane. He nearly had to pick me up and carry me onto the plane.

We stepped off the plane into a small private airport, where there was

at least two vans waiting to take us and our luggage to the cabins we

were staying in.

Verne was a tall and well built man. He had a beard, hair down to his

shoulders. Both had grey strecked into them, while lines formed around

his eyes. He looked to be in his middle fifties, with a slight tan. He

was wearing faded blue jeans, a black tight fitting t-shirt, black

boots, and a black leather trench coat. He seemed nicer then his lupa,

because even though she might looked at least thirty-years younger

then Verne. She looked meaner and tougher. She was the same size as

Anita, with blue tinted bangs. Roxanne was wearing an identical outfit

to Verne's. Richard greeted Verne with the proper greeting of wolves

when in public. A hug, with the guys, a hug and kiss on the cheek with

the women.

"Hey Verne. It's good to see you again," he said, then releasing him.

"It's good to see you again as well Richard," replied Verne.

Richard hugged Roxanne next and stated, "Roxanne, always a pleasure to

see you. Your still look as lovely as ever."

With this she smile at him, but looked straight at me, when they

pulled away from each other. "Thank you Richard, and it's good to see

you again, but I have to ask, whose the new girl," she asked.

Richard glanced behind him to me, then reached out for me. I took his

hand and he pulled me to his side. "Verne, Roxanne, this is Alex.

My new lupa and the love of my life," he said, then kissed my forehead

in front of them. I returned the affection and knew everything will be

all right. He then pushed me forward and I greeted them both. Verne

was first, who hugged me and kissed me on the side of the cheek. "It's

a pleasure to finally meet you Alexl," he said.

"Same here," was all I could say.

Roxanne was next, she looked me up and down with questioning eyes. I

just glanced at her with a smile, trying not to let me emotions show.

Finally she must of liked what she saw and smelt, for she grabbed me

and pulled me into an unsuspecting huge. "It's good to meet you

Alex. I've heard so much about you and know we are going to be such

good friends. We have a lot in common you know," she replied.

I hugged her back and answered, "It's good to meet you to. Being

friends is good, and know I didn't know we had alot in commen."

She pulled away, smiled at me and stated, "Well we do and will your

hear we can get to know one another better. I hope you are planning on

staying for awhile."

Richard took the time to chime in, "We are planning on staying until

after Christmas, unless something comes up with the pack, that Sylvia

can't handle."

Roxanne was nearly overjoyed, "Oh that's just terrific. I can't wait

to drag you shopping Alex."

I looked at her, just smiled, and said, "Me neither." Oh joy.

By that time Shang-Da, Jamil along with Verne's two enforcers had our

bags packed into one of the vans. We got into the other one and

started off. Roxanne and Verne talked all the way to the cabins, while

the rest of us just listened. We arrived at the Blue Moon Cabins in an

hour. Verne showed us to our lovely home away from home, while the

Jamil and Shang-Da grabbed the luggage. It was my first meeting with

Verne and Roxanne, so I was a little nervous at first, but they made

me feel welcome. We got settled in and was out the door around 10 to

go see Richard's family. We borrowed a van from Verne and was taking

all back roads to her house. His mom must have been waiting for us,

cause as soon as we pulled up an hour later, she came out the front

door. Richard and I got out first, the the two enforcers.

Richard's mom ran directly to him, to greet him with a huge. "Oh

Richard it's so good to see you again. I've missed you so," she

commented, while holding him tight.

"It's good to see you to mom," he answered, giving her a kiss and a hug.

She released him, then stepped back at him. "You're looking better and

better everytime I see you. So handsome, bet you have to bet the

ladies off with a stick," she asked.

I was so hard trying not to laugh at that one, but it came out anyway

as a snort. She looked my way and I punched Jamil who was standing the

closet to me, making it look like he did it. He glared at me for it

and I dared him with my eyes to say anything. He backed off as

Richard's mother walked up to me. "So your Alexandra," she said glancing

at me, then taking in what I was wearing. I was wearing everything

green except my knee high, three inch healed boots, which was the flat

heals and not spiked ones. They were black and so was my leather

trench coat. It was a western duster type coat. I had on a hunter

green velvet ankle lenght skirt and a hunter green casmere sweater. My

hair was done up in my wrap around tails, with two strands falling

down around my face. All my jewerly was done in gold and emerals, a

gift from my father, for my birthday. He sent them to me through the

mail, so he wouldn't get me into trouble with Jean-Claude for being in

the city. My make-up was light and perfect. Can't wear to much because

I'm allergic to the fish oil in it.

I just smiled and said, "Yes Mam."

She smiled at me and hugged me, "It's good to finally meet you dear.

I've been wondering when my son will bring you around. He talks about

you all the time."

As I hugged her back, I glared at Richard, who was smiling from ear to

ear, and wonder how many people he talks to about me all the time.

"It's nice to finally meet you to Mrs. Zeeman," I replied.

Charlotte Zeeman pulled away and glanced over at her son. "I like this

one, she's got manners," she said, while grabbing a hold of my arm and

pulling me toward the house. Richard followed with Jamil and Shang-Da,

who both were snorting with laughter at Charlotte's reactiong to me.

Richard's mom was very sweet and she's the nicest person you ever want

to meet. But if you cross her or make her mad, you better watch out.

She reminded me of my own mom, whose been dead almost two years now.

She was the same height and built as my mom was. Only difference she

has a little bit more grey in her hair then my mom did.

I was introduced to his younger brother Daniel who is a riot. Then I

was introduced to Gleen and his wife. Then Aaron, whose a widower and

finally I meet his sister Beverly, who was the oldest and her family.

I felt uneasy, while greeting them. I don't know why but it felt like

there had been some sort of argument in here, before we arrived. For

the two boys were to scared to say anything. They kept looking at

their mother like two dogs who've been hit or something. Richard's

brothers got up and left, dragged him and the inforcers with them out

to find a Christmas tree. I was left me with his mom, sister, and

sister-in-law. Richard was grinning from ear to ear, when they left. I

had this feeling I wasn't going to like what is about to happen.

Charlotte grabbed her coat, purse, and said, "Come on Alexandra, we're

going shopping while the boys are off getting the tree."

Then she grabbed me by the arm and pulled me out the door to her car.

I didn't get a chance to say anything before she did so. It didn't

bother me that I was going to spend time with Richard's mother. What

bothered me was that it was our first meeting together and it scared

me, specially when Beverly Richard's sister asked Gleen's wife about

how long she'd think I'd last.

Charlotte chattered all the way to town and I just listened to her,

only answering Yes Mam or No Mam, when needed. The other two were in

the back seat making faces and glancing at each other. At one point it

looked almost like they made a bet in the backseat, while Charlotte

was distracted talking to me. It took us an hour to get to town and to

the shopping mall. Once inside, I tried my best to keep all my

comments to myself and tried to be polite. I found myself going to the

bathroom every five minutes just to get a break from the bickering

that was going on between Charlotte, her daughter, and

daughter-in-law. They constantly argued over

the silliest things and I thought my head was going to explode, but I

kept up the happy new person. I kept my mouth shut, unless I was

talkin to. See my mom did teach me some manners after all. It's like

being the Gambler. You got to know when to hold em and know when to

fold them.

I spent most of my morning trying to dodge them, picking up gifts for

Richard. I even went to town and spend some money for Jamil and

Shang-Da as well. Finally they caught up with me, in a nature shop and

I pretended that I was looking for them, got lost, and saw this shop

and had to come into it, forgetting the time. I was saying all this

with a smile as well. Charlotte was cheerful as ever and said, "Not to

worry. It happens to the best of us."

I saw Beverly and Gleen's wife roll their eyes and had to turn to keep

from laughing at them. We finished our shopping with Charlotte holding

onto me for dear life, not wanting me to get lost again and was out of

the mall by two o'clock. We got back home around three, to find the

boys were not back yet. I put the packages I bought into the van and

decided to wrap them later after we get back to the cabin, when the

guys were asleep. Charlotte started dinner and I voleentered to help

her. The other two wasn't going to interfere with my decision, they

said, "More power to you."

I walked into the kitchen behind Charlotte. Hearing on the way in from

Gleen's wife, "I don't think she'll make it threw dinner."

"I don't think she will either," said Beverly.

I groaned and wondered what their problem was. Did they not think I

could actually like Richard's mom. I mean after all she's a duplicate

of what my mom was. Charlotte glanced at me as I entered, smiled and

said, "Your a sweet and nice girl Alexandra. I'm glad to see Richard

settling down with a women like you."

And all the while I was thinking, 'Oh if you only knew me well, you

wouldn't be saying that if you knew the truth about me.' But I smiled

and just

kept my comments to myself. We had the dinner finished and the table

set by the time the guys arrived back with the biggest Christmas

tree I ever saw. We sat down and ate dinner, which consist of fried

chicken, mast potatoes, green beans, gravy, and fresh bread, before we

started on the decorations. We talked and was having a good time until

Charlotte asked about my family, "So Alexandra, tell me about your

family. What do they do and what are they like."

Richard and I just stared at each other across the table at each

other. I shoved bread in my mouth, while all eyes were on me. Richard

did his best to try and change the subject, but one look from his

mother shut him up. She glanced over at me with a smile and I

swallowed my bread. "I really don't like talking about my family. This

is really not a good time of year for me," I stated. stretching the

truth just a tad bit.

She understood then and her voice lowered into a sad monologue as she

said, "I'm terribly sorry Alexandra. I didn't realize all your family

was dead."

I turned red and kicked Jamil under the table when he snorted at the

family was dead comment. Richard nearly choked on his beer at his

mom's comment, which got him a glare from his mother. "Richard Alaric

Zeeman, how many times have I told you to drink that stuff slowly.

You're going to choke to death one of these days," she said, going

over and patting him on the back.

I shoved more bread in my mouth, watching as Richard tried to breath

and smile at me at the same time. I just shrugged and shoved more

bread into my mouth. As soon as Richard was back to normal again,

Charlotte turned her atteantion back to me. "I'm really sorry for your

lose dear and it will never be brought up again. Only happy thoughts

at this time of year. If I had only known earlier that your family was

dead. I wouldn't have asked. I hope you forgive me," she stated quite

nicely.

I swallowed and anwered, "It's ok, not alot of people know about my

family." and all the time I was thinking to myself, 'Oh you don't know

how dead they really are.'

We spent the rest of the evening and up until midnight with his

family. Decorating the house, the tree, while singing Christmas

Carols. Daniel was changing the versions, which caused a rour of

laughter from everybody, except his mother. She glared at him and

threathend to beat him senceless if he didn't stop. By that time we

said our good-bye's and left, I was so tired and needed a soft bed.

Richard and I talked on the way home. He was asking me what I thought

of his mother and I answered with a half a sleep answer. Richard

finally gave up, when he realized that the females in his family wore

me out today and left it alone. Richard pulled up to the cabins about

around one and cut the engine. He got out and came around to my side,

pulling me out and into his arms. He gave Jamil and Shange-Da a

stricked order to leave us for the night. They went to their own

cabin, while we were entereing ours. No soon as we got into the cabin,

Richard became a little horn dog for the rest of the evening. That

woke me up fast and I was so enjoying his attention. Which was nice,

because it was something we both needed. We feel asleep in each

other's arms to a cd of love song's.
