Nothing was working and all my spells were back firing. I tried to orb from the room, but couldn't orb at all. Arawn had come in with my breakfast and sat it on a table by a fireplace. He hadn't said much to me and tried to keep his distance from me. I wonder why that is, well I'll tell you why. I threathened to cute him into a thousand pieces, then vanish his carcuse to Hell. I threw a vase across the room and tried to blow it up, but instead of it exploding I got thrown across the room and onto the bed. I screamed out in frustration and a voice cleared their throat. I glared over at Arawn and yelled, "What do you want?" He looked at me then away before saying, "I only wanted to tell you, you magic wont work right while the amulet is on your foot." I looked down at my ankle then looked back at him and replied threw clenched teeth, "You mean to tell me that this chain and anklet is a magical devise to keep me from using my powers." "Yes and No my lady," He answered. "What's that suppose to mean," I questioned while closing the gap between us. He ran for the door as he said, "You can use your magic, but you can't use it to help you escape." Before I can get anything else out of him, he was out the door and it shut tight. I finally now know why my powers are useless in trying to escape. So there goes all my plans and my freedom. I laid down on the bed and cried myself to sleep. I slept a dreamers sleep. I found myself walking in a forest and it looked all to familiar. Out of no where came a hooded figure, she pulled down her hood to show me her face. The women was wearing a sneer upon her face and she was elvin. Something was familiar about her but I couldnt' place it. She laughed a hideous laugh and I knew who it was, it was Bree. The elf bitch who tried to kill Conor a few weeks ago. I sat straight up out of the dream and knew what needed to be done. I said a summoning spell to conjure up a laptop computer out of thin air. Using the powers of the land and my magic, I tapped into the outside world. I logged on to cyberspace and found Maggie on line. I told her what had happened and what was planning on doing. She said not to do it, that she was worried about me. I told her there was no other way. I must bargain with Mab for my life or I would not be able to return home. I logged off from her after talking for awhile, then telling her to make sure she passed the word to everyone. I put the computer away, then ran to the door. I knocked on the door and the window slide came open. A pair of familiar eyes looked back at me. "You knocked my lady," Arawn said. "Yes, is there anyway you can get me a conference with my godmother. I have a something she might be interested in," I answered. His eyebrows shot up in surprise, but did not argue. "Give me awhile and I'll see what I can do," He said, then he was gone. I waited for over an hour, before the door opened and two guards came in. They undid the chain from the floor and motioned towards the door. I nodded then went out of my room to be greated by two more guards. They escorted me to the Queens' chambers where I was to see my godmother. She was in an elequant strapless blue dress with gloves to her elbow. Her hair was up in curles upon her head and all her make-up was done in blue. She was seated at a table and rouse as I entered. "Ah my dear child, you seek a conference with me," She asked smiling. "Yes I did godmother," I replied with my own smile "Then be seated, my goddaughter and let us talk," she said motioning for me to be seated opposite to her. I sat down and she followed. "So what brings you to me this day, my dear," she asked with a curious glance. "I've been thinking about the whole intire contract between you and my grandmother," I answered. She brought a goblet of wine to her lips and sipped before replying, "And do tell why you've been thinking about that. You know it's binding, so there's no escape." I drank from my own goblet, then answered, "I'm aware of that, but what if I offer you my own bargain. One that will intice your interest, will you take it and give me a chance to win back the contract and earn my freedom from you." She nearly choked on her wine, then wiped her mouth with a blue napkin and stared straight at me. "Dear child what can you bargain with me that will be better than having you around all the time." "Oh I don't know, how about torturing the one whose trying to over throw you as Queen,"I said with a smile. Her mouth dropped and she looked at me with her head sideways trying to figure out if I was joking, then when she realized I wasn't fooling she became shocked. "My dear child that would be better than having you hear," she said. "I thought that would perk your interest, now here's my poposal. If I can capture her and bring her to you, will you say give me or destroy the contract between you and my grandmother. It's a simple bargain. You get Bree and I get my freedom from you," I questioned, trying to be calm at the same time. She busted out laughing then, causing it to ring off the walls in crystal bell sounds. By the time she was done laughing which lasted almost an hour, she came up holding her ribs and wiping tears from her eyes. "I've never in my life had a good laugh like that one. My dear child do you know what your asking. I've had my best warriors gone out and come back in a pine box, trying to take her out. Why do you think you can bring her to me. You are risking your own life to be free of me, when I'm offering you the world, if you let me ruled you," She commented trying not to laugh while she talked. "I know you think this is funny, but if I could pull it off will you give me what I wish," I stated. She glared at me, then put on her serious face and replied, "You are serious aren't you. I can give you everything you want, but it's not good enough for you. You rather be down there, playing foolish games with your friends, while watching the man you really love in the arms of another women." I started at her and answered, "Yes, it's what I want. I don't want to be here or to be queen. I loved the life I had and it would be fine, if my damn family would keep their fuck88n noses out of it. And I'm willing to die if it needs to be, to get my freedom and my life back. I can pull this off and you know it. Your just afraid I'll kill her before you have a chance to torture her." She snorted but took me seriously and stated, "Well then this should be an interesting bargain. You are smarter than I gave you created for and you are brave, stubborn, and foolish, but I accept your bargain on my terms." I glared at her and calmly through clenched teeth said, "And what terms would that be." All ways remember when dealing with the fey, theres no thing as a good deal. She steepled her fingers under her chin and smiled at me, before saying to me between half closed eyes, "You want the parchment of mine and your grandmother's bargain, which is binding and cannot be broken. However it can be done with a new bargain. If you succeed in bringing Bree to me alive or dead, it dosn't matter to mean, even though I prefer alive, then you will be free of me and I will personally hand over the contract and you will be able to break it, by sitting it on fire. However if you get killed in the process or fail to bring her to me either alive or dead. You will be mine forever and you will not be able to leave here for all eternity. Thats if your still alive, on the other hand if you get killed, then one of your preciouse friends will take your place." She smiled her evil smile then continued, "Yes that will do quite nicely, don't you think my child. Does the bargain I lay before you seem fair enough." As she finishes her speech a parchment appears out of thin air with the new bargain on it. I went through and read it making sure I caught all the fine lines before looking up at her. "Then it's a done deal then," I stated. She leaned back in her chair then replied, "Good I'm glad, now we both sign it." She pulled out a silver knife and a quill. She took the knife and shoved it threw her left hand, taking up the quill and dabbing it in her blood. Mab signed the new deal, then handed me the knife and quill. I wripped them both off and copyed the procedure. Shoving the knife in my hand and signing the bargain in my own blood. The parchment burst into light, then rolled itself up and disappearing out of sight. Mab leaned forward and grabbed the knife out of my hand, causing me to winch in pain. "You have until midnight on your 27th birthday to bring me Bree. If you don't succeed by then, you or a special someone will be mine forever," She said with a sneer, then her room vanished and I appeared back into my own room. I looked around to find bags all ready packed for me to go on my little journey across the world in search of Bree. The strange thing is I knew where she was. She's in Paris with Belle talking about another plan of dominations. I much be careful, for it seems that she's going to let me find her. This was beginning to feel like a trap, but I've been in traps before and I've come out of them alive. So if she want's to play these games, well then we will dance the dance of fighters to the death. Hopefully Mab dosn't get to mad if I don't bring her back alive. I went through the bags and found everthing I would need. Leave it to my godmother to make sure I had a winning chance in hell to beat her. The door came open and two guards came in. They unlocked the ankelet and it felt like a great burden had lifted off my shoulders. The taller one helped me with the bags, then they showed me out the castle doors and into the court yard to find a black stallion waiting for me. I place my bags onto the horse then mounted it. I gave a solute to the guards and raced out toward the portal that will drop me off int Paris France. |
