Rating: R for now, cause never know what might pop up A loud noise from outside had woken me from my dream. I haven't got a clue how things went from decent to naughty over night. I had fallen asleep early this morning beside Richard after along day and night at the office. The only problem was, that Falcor kept popping up in my dreams and wet ones at that. I prayed to the gods and goddesses, that I didn't talk in my sleep. The noise came again, making me want to scream out loud. I threw the covers back, pulled on my Tigger pj's and walked out into the living room. There wasn't a soul in sight, but could still hear the loud noise. It was coming from outside in the front yard. I walked over to the front window and peeked out. What I saw made my eyes pop out and mouth drop to the ground. Jason, Stephen, Nate, Greg, and my brother were in the front yard, letting off fireworks in broad daylight. Richard was at school; Jamil was helping Lua settle into her new apartment, while Shang-Da had gone back to his own apartment. I couldn't believe they left me here all alone, while those four ran wild in our front yard. I threw open the front door, it went back to hit the wall with a bang. Stomping madly out onto the porch and into the front yard, I yelled, "What the hell do you guys think your doing?" They all turned my way and smiled. Bo came over to give me a hug, while giving him one back, I asked, "I don't know what your up to Bo Thomas, but you better start explaining why your using my front yard as an army base." "I was testing out some home made fireworks, to see if they would work in the daylight hours," he answered with a smile and a nod of his head. I glared at him and asked, "Couldn't you find some other place to do it at." Jason stepped in and said, "No, not really. Besides Richard called Stephen to come look in on you today. Richard said that he was working. Jamil was helping Lua move into her new apartment and that he had to go to work. Shang-Da was going back to his place to get some shuteye because he has to work this afternoon. So they couldn't check on you anyway." I crossed my arms and tapped my foot, while questioning their motives, "If Richard asked Stephen to look in on me, why are the rest of you here?" Stephen cleared his throat and answered, "Because Greg was with me, when Richard called me from the school. Jason and Nate showed up, when I was leaving to come check on you. And when we got here, your brother was already hear setting up the fireworks." I raised an eyebrow and inquired, "So when did you guys actually get here?" Bo came up and wrapped him arms around my waist, lifting me off the ground, "Yo Phoe, chill. What's got your panties in an uproar?" The four guys standing before me had never heard my brother's pet name for me. Jason rolled in the grass laughing, Stephen and Greg just looked at each other questioningly, while Nate mouthed the word 'Phoe'. My brother had me dangling in the air as he carried me back inside. I had crossed my arms and waited until we were inside to give him a piece of my mind. He climbed up the steps with me in his arms, then through the front door, not stopping until we reached the bedroom. He hefted me up and tossed me onto the bed like a sack of potatoes. "No sis, Richard said you were tired and hadn't sleep any two days before the pack meeting. You didn't sleep much the day of the pack meeting, because you worked, plus not getting home until two in the morning yesterday. Then getting back up for work at five, not coming home until one-thirty this morning. He said you apparently had a bad day at work and wanted you to stay home in bed resting. Now get back in there before I tie you to it," commanded my baby brother. I glared at him, but did as he asked. Once I was in, he came over and tucked me into bed. I yawned then, and he pointed a finger at me, "See, that's why you should be in bed." I stuck my tongue out at him and asked, "Who died and left you my mama?" He smiled at me, then replied, "My mama and I'm going to be your babysitter until Richard comes home, so stop your complaining an go back to sleep." I grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. He saw it coming and ducked, then jumped on top of me. His bony butt and weight caught me in the stomach, while the bed sank down to the floor. My words came out as a hiss with an umpt. He started bouncing up and down, making me scream, "Damnit Bo get you scrawny ass off of me and why aren't you at work?" My screams must of been loud enough for the others to have heard, cause the next thing I know you could hear a herd of elephants on the front porch, trying to get into the front door. Finally they made it to the bedroom, to find Bo jumping up and down on me, while I was beating the crap out of him. Apparently they found this amusing, because they just stood there and watched. Finally Bo stopped, and then said, "Today was my day off at the bicycle shop. Danise is working at the bookstore, while Marie's in school. I came over to see what you were doing, because Richard called and left a message on the machine saying that you would be home today. When I got here, there was no answer, so I snuck into the garage. Found the back door key under the mat, letting myself in to check on you." I was glaring daggers at my brother, while holding my stomach. "Fine I give you that, but what's the big idea of letting fireworks off in my front yard? Especially when I was sleeping," I screeched smacking him in the face with a pillow. "Sorry sis, but I wanted to show you them, but since you were a sleep I couldn't do it. The guys showed up as I was leaving and we got to talking, and then the next thing we knew you were coming out the door screaming at us," Bo said innocently. I glanced around him at the others and they were nodding, while pointing at Bo. Technically that means, they were agreeing with what he said. I laid back down, pulling the covers over my head. He patted me on the head and said, "I'll go out and clean up the mess, you go back to sleep. Ok sis?" I just nodded my head, feeling the bed ease back up, when he got up to leave. Pulling the covers down off my head, I saw he motioned the others to leave, with him behind them, closing the door as he left. I waited for some time, expecting to hear loud bangs and booms, but nothing happened. I snuck out of the room, to peek out the window. True to his word, Bo was cleaning the front yard up, with the others help. I stood by the window watching how well my brother got along with the younger pard and pack members. Guess it's because of them being the same age. Someone had sneaked up behind me, because before I had a chance to turn around. A strong arm wrapped around me, while a hand went over my eyes. I had almost screamed before a voice said, "I wouldn't scream if I were you. You wouldn't want the others to find out about you having another man in the house." I froze in my tracks realizing the voice belonged to Falcor. There was a huge lump in my throat and it wouldn't come out. Finally it removed itself and I could talk. "Falcor, what are you doing here?" I asked. He began nibbling my ear, then whispered, "Came to see you, to find out why Richard called the school telling them that you wouldn't be in today do to not enough sleep. I wanted to make sure for myself that you were ok. Maybe we could talk, while the puppy was away. Maybe I could convince you to go out with me, if we were alone together." I turned swiftly around and stepped away from him. How in the hell did he get inside my house? I glared at him and commanded in a low voice, "What are you doing here and how did you get in." He smiled and peeked out the window, and then his face fell. Bo was putting his toys back into his car, with the guys help. "Well I believe I won't get to talk to you after all. It seems your brother and his friends aren't going to leave just yet," He mumbled irritably. Turning my head to hide my smile, thanking the angels above for small miracles. "Of course they aren't leaving, they are taking care of me, while Richards at school," I announced. A trunk slammed shut and voices started coming this way. Staring at Falcor, I said, "You better leave the way you came, or they will get a little suspicious of you being here." He smiled from ear to ear and replied, "Really, well in that case let the boys in." I started to panic when he reached for the front door and grabbed his hand dragging him into the kitchen. Turning around to face him, demanding with cold anger, "You are to leave now. We will discuss this in my office next week sometime. For now you are to just leave me alone and stay at the board's office. Do you hear me? Now get out of my house." Falcor stepped up to me, just as the front door opened, while loud noisy voices could be heard. He ran his finger down my cheek and said, "You can't get rid of me that easy, but I will leave for now so not to get you into trouble," he stated, then leaned over to slightly move his lips over mine. I stepped away from him and he let me, glancing around the kitchen. He turned his attention back toward me and replied, "You should do something about putting safe guards around this place. With out them youre open to attack from anything and everything. It will keep persistent people like me out of the house." He had said that last part with a grin and I just glared at him. "I will keep what you said in mind," I commented. His smile got bigger and he nodded, then before the kitchen door swung open, he disappeared. Falcor had vanished just in time. Bo, Jason, Greg, Stephen, and Nate came flying through the kitchen in combat mode. I leaned up against the counter, grabbing for an apple, watching the guys act like action heroes. It was funny in a way and I had to stuff the apple in my mouth to keep from busting out laughing. Bo glanced around, and then made his way toward me slowly. "Ok Phoe, I heard a man's voice in here and I know it wasn't Richard," he stated. Chewing a piece of apple, I mumbled, "Ou ust of eard she TV." Jason came up behind him and gave me a raised eyebrow. "What did you just say," he asked. When I swallowed the apple pieces I answered, "I said you must of heard the TV." Nate had sat down at the table, while the twins leaned up against the bar in the middle of the kitchen. Richard had added that, during the holidays and it came in handy. Jason came over to me, while shaking his head said, "Alex you're over worked. There isn't a TV in here, trust me I know." I raised an eyebrow at him and said, "We could have installed one, without you knowing about it." He just smiled at me, rolled his eyes and replied, "Sure Alex, anything you say." The other's snickered at Jason's remark, which got them a glare from me. Bo came up to me, wrapping his arm around my waist. He leaned down and kissed me on his forehead, then said, "Phoe, you need to go back to bed. I think you're sleep deprived, plus youre acting very strange. Come on finish your apple and let me put you back to bed." I glared up at him, showing him that he wasn't being cute. He just smiled, and then started escorting me toward the living room. "Now don't you worry about a thing. We will take care of everything and all I want you to do is get some rest," he stated. Why didn't I like the sound of that, probably because Bo was smiling when he said it. He had led me to my bedroom and shoved me in, saying as he did so, "Now Phoe get some rest and if you need anything just give us a shout. We won't be going anywhere." That's what I was afraid of and God only knows what the house will look like when I get up from my nap. I climbed into bed and dozed off, letting my brother and the guys run the house, while going off to dreamland. It seemed I had only gotten to sleep, when I felt something or someone nuzzle my neck. Then a strong body and a pair of arms wrapped themselves around me. Thinking it was my snuggle puppy, I scooted closer to him, so he could spoon me better. He began nibbling on my ear, and then started to go down farther my neck. His hand went under my pj top to cup my breast, while rubbing my nipple with his thumb. I groaned in pleasure, turned my head, keeping my eyes closed, and kissed him. He opened his mouth and I slipped my tongue into his mouth. I explored his mouth with my tongue, and then rubbed it around his teeth. I sucked on his tongue, and then tried to get farther down his throat with mine. He groaned and slid over to rest on top of me. I wrapped my arms around his neck, running my hands through his hair. I made the mistake of opening my eyes, to find not Richard but Falcor. Oh shit my life just got worse and I pushed him away from me, and then jumped from the bed as fast as I could. Putting some distance between us, I pointed a finger at him and yelled, "What the hell do you think your doing?" He rolled over and stretched like a great cat, then leaned against the headboard, putting his arms behind his head at the same time. He had a huge smile on his face, while he licked his lips. His eyes were glassy and there was lust in them. I didn't like the way he was eyeing me up and down. This was so not happening to me. I glared at him and spoke in a low angry tone, "Answer my question Falcor. What the hell are you doing? I thought I told you to get lost." He just laid there, staring at me, before replying, "I'm sorry, but I just couldn't leave, without knowing what it would be like to hold you in my arms." I put my hands in front of me, trying to be calm, while being reasonable with him, "I belong to another man. You're going to have to accept it and to realize there's no us." He moved swiftly to stand before me, while voicing his opinion, "He's not good enough for you Alexandra. What can he offer you that I cant? Let me rule you and I'll give you everything your heart desires." Ok where have I heard that line before and why does this scenario scare me. I turned around and started banging on the door, yelling for my brother. Screaming my head off, while slamming my hand against the door. He came up behind me, trapping me between him and the door. Running his hands down my arms and leaned forward to whisper into my ear, "No one's here, it's just us. So yelling won't do you know good, cause no one can hear you." I pushed out of his embrace and moved away from him. "Why are you doing this? We had an agreement, and why can't you take no for an answer?" I asked. He stalked me then with a fiery smoke to his eyes, while answering, "Because you belong to me and when have you known me to take no for an answer?" "Stay away from me," I yelled. His smile turned evil as he stalked me, while replying, "He might have your body, but I will have your soul and mind. You will be mine mentally, if not physically. I will control your dreams and you will dream of nothing but me." I glared at him and said through clenched teeth, "You have no power over me." The dream shattered and I woke screaming my head off. The bedroom door slammed opened and Richard flew in coming to my side. He pulled me into his arms as I began to cry. Holding me tight, he soothed me with words of comfort, while rubbing my hair. I held on tight as I cried until nothing was left. Once my emotions were under control, I pulled away from him. Power oozed out all around the room. I glanced about to find seven worried faces watching me. Leaning up against Richardss chest, to find comfort in his arms, I said, "I think we might have a problem." Richard nuzzled my hair with his chin and asked, "When do we not have a problem?" "Yeah, but not of the a wizard might be going bad kind," I replied. He lifted my chin up and stared into my eyes, saying, "Ok Alex spill the beans. What's got you scared to death?" Taking my nose and rubbing it against his chin, I told him what had happened yesterday at the school, then the visit I got from Falcor, along with the dream, that had me screaming. He became stiff and his anger flowed, while he held me close. "Don't worry Alex. I'm not going to let anyone take you from me ever again. There's got to be a way to stop him. I'm sure of it, just hang in there and you are not going anywhere alone anymore. Not until this guy is out of our lives for good," he stated, while holding me tight. I began to cry again and he let me. The others had moved toward the bed to add to my comfort. My brother even came over, even though he still doesnt understand the feelings of pack or pard members. They hugged me, while I cried. I needed sleep bad, but was afraid to fall back to sleep again. Too afraid, to find Falcor there, watching, waiting for me. What happened to him that turned him to the dark path? What did it offer him in return for his loyalty? These questions and others played over in my mind as I hold onto the one thing that keeps me sane. My family. |
