Some would say family is a blessing. I say they are a cruel and
unusual punishment, especially when things are going so right in your
life. I had everything I could ever ask for. Love, friends, a good
job, and no relatives around to tell you how to live your life.

Well that all changed when my godmother, Mab, came to town. Everything was
fine until she tried to manipulate everything that happened around me.
She started fights between my friends and their loved ones. Putting
love spells on others and confusing some. All for what, so she could
get what she tricked my grandmother into, power! My grandmother
promised to make Mab godmother over her first female grandchild and grant
her all authority over the granddaughter for power of the Winter
Court.

This was twenty-eight years ago, the winter I was born. To
protect me my mother risked her immortality and power to keep me
from my father's people, knowing my fate if I was exposed. Until last
year I never knew, what or who I was. Until my husband was taken from
me.

Now I'm where Mab wants me, chained to a stone in a floor at her
place among the Winter Court. See two nights ago she made an
unexpected visit, when there was a fight among friends at my house.
She pulled me through to her world and forced me to take a suitor of
her court or she will have one of my dear friends, who I cared most
deeply about, killed. I did as she bid and took Arawn, but Richard

was not happy about it and we wound up fighting severely
that night. He brought in three of the wolves to act as my guards to keep me away
from Arawn, while he confined him to the basement. Arawn was to tired
to fight, so he obliged Richard.

Late last night Luna showed up to keep me company. A fight broke out
down stairs and I went to stop it. I used a separation spell but it backed fired and hit me
and threw me against the stonewall. I felt my skull cracked and the
world went black. Now early this morning I wake to find myself chained
to a stone in the floor, while I lay in a huge fur coved room. The
door was bolted from the outside, I know cause I?ve tried to open it.
I walked to the window and looked out to find everything covered in
ice and snow. And knew immediately where I was, and started to scream
Mab's name. Arawn was the first to answer my yell.

"My lady, I see your feeling better, but really you should be in bed.
You're still healing from having your skull cracked,? he said.

"How did I get here and where is Mab," I yelled.

"She will be with you shortly and as for how you got here. I brought
you here, knowing she would be the only one to save you. I froze time
and brought you here through a portal from the basement," He answered.

He came toward me wincing in pain as he did so. "What is wrong with
you Arawn. You seem hurt," I asked.

"I am. The Queen punished me for allowing you to get hurt. So she had
me cute open with iron. After she healed you, and she imprisoned you in
here, making sure you won't escape. I'm to take care of you, for as
long as you'll have me," He answered sadly.

My face went pale, I was horrified. "What do you mean, I've been
imprisoned here," I choked out.

He turned and tried to walk away. I grabbed him before he could leave.
"What do you mean. Tell me damn you," I screamed.

"What part of you are forever mine don't you understand dear child,"
said a voice from behind me.

I turned to find Mab standing in the room with a smile on her face.
"What have you done to me?" I commanded.

She just stood there for a few minutes smiling at me with that cruel
smile of hers before answering, "You were mine before you were born.
Now I'm claiming what is mine. You will never see your friends again,
or be with your wolves. You owe me for saving your life child and your
payment starts now," She crooned. Mab walked toward me and tilted my
chin up with her hand. "Who best to take my place when I'm gone, then
you my child. From here on out you will take better care of yourself
and you will be trained to rule the kingdom of the Winter Court. I?m
tired of watching you play silly games with your friends. When there's
more important things for you to be doing," She said with a cruel look
to her eyes.

"You can't do this, I didn't ask you for your help in saving me. Arawn
brought me to you," I spat.

"I can, I will, and I have! I also have the contract between your
grandmother and I to prove it," she crooned. Then she pulled out a
piece of parchment and showed it to me. It was an agreement between
her and my grandmother and it was signed in blood. The document was binding and
couldn?t be broken.

I turned from her and she tried to touch my shoulder. I shrugged away
and through teared filled eyes said, "Don't touch me and please leave.
I want to be alone.?

"Dear child don't cry for that which is lost. You will never get it back.
Besides you will learn to love it here and you'll make new friends,
you'll see," she said, then disappeared all together.

I fell to the floor crying, not knowing what was to come of me. I guess
she felt the presence of Conor and Tatiana at my house and decided
they were a threat to her plan. She caused the confusion in me,
I couldn?t' think straight. The confusion was such that it made me
walk into a fight knowing I would get hurt. I knew why this was happening and I couldn't do
anything to stop it. Oh why did I have to fall for an elf of the
Summer Court? One which was out of my league and the godson of the
Summer Queen. Now because of how I really felt about him, I'm a
prisoner of my own heart.

If Mab wants to play games, will she just
found the wrong person to go up against. This is not over by a long
shot and I promise you I will be free of that cold hearted bitch and
back where I belong before my next birthday. Which according to the
cycles of the moon. I have only nine days to do it in, but I know I
can do it if I play my cards right. If this made me just as cold and
heartless as her, then so be it. I will not be a slave of anyone,
don't care if she is family. This is my life and I'm going to live it
according to me, not the wicked witch. And Tatiana had enough nerve to
call me one. The worst part is I'm not considered a witch. I'm
considered a mage, which is a higher class than a witch. Oh how that just
burns me to no end. I wiped my eyes on sleeve of my gown and get myself
together. It's time to start operation kick Winter Queen's ass. So if
anyone can here me out there.
