| Blood Wars: Chapter 8 Twin Vampire Dragons
Disclaimer: Everything belongs to me with help from Esther. Rating: R for language We traveled down a long corridor at a slow pace. To me it seemed like an eternity but it gave me some idea as to where we were going. The tunnel went deeper into the cliff and seemed to never end. Finally we came to a stop and I heard the squeak of door hinges. He took us into some place dark. The next thing I knew he pulled me off his shoulders and tossed me onto something hard. I bounced a couple of times then completely stopped. I felt soft material beneath me as a fire sprang to life across the room. Its glow bounced off the walls to show me that I had been taken to a bedroom. The bed I had been tossed on was large enough for a lot of people. To my left was a set of huge wooden doors that must have led to another part of the cave. To my right were a dresser, table, and a large entertainment center. My eyebrows shot up as my mind wondered what a creepy vampire was doing with all this stuff. I had thought vampires slept in crypts not beds. The dragon man began to rummage through the drawers and pulled out a piece of material. He turned around, glared at me and snorted again before walking over to me. Handing me the thing he pointed at the doors to my left and said, "The bathroom is that way. You need to clean up before the master gets back. If you ask me I think he should just kill you. Youre not worth it." That comment pissed me off but before I got a word in he stomped out the door and slammed it shut. I heard a lock click and realized he was locking me in here from the outside. I grabbed a pillow off the bed and threw it at the closed door. Something wasnt right about all this and it left me more confused than ever. I slowly climbed down off the bed and headed for the bathroom. The moment I opened the doors my mouth dropped in shock. Here was a huge bathtub made of stone sitting in the middle of the room. It had steps going up into the tub. Water poured out of the ceiling to fill it. Now I knew where the waterfall went. I stumbled over in awe and stuck my hand into the water. It was nice and warm making me tingle all over. My mind started to wonder and ask questions at the same time. As the questions unfolded in my mind the water began to swirl to life. Who was this vampire? Was he really the one her mom told her about or someone different? Why did he want her and why did he freak out about the reporter and the news of a new club? Was my mom ok and was anyone looking for me? My hand began to move with the water as it swirled in circles, and images began to form in the water. They went by too fast for me to see what and who they were. Finally the images began to slow down and what I saw shocked me to the core. My captor was fighting with the man from tonights news. I couldnt believe it, there was two of them. Mr. Terigosta was pinned to the wall by Mr. Fangys hand to his throat. He got close and said, "Stay out of my way brother or youll find yourself dead." "I worked too hard to let you ruin it for me Djeri," croaked Mr. Terigosta. "Oh boo hoo. You were always the weak one Manuel. The descendants of the Duncans need to be put in their place. Whats the point of being demons if you cant use it for revenge? Doesnt our fathers death mean anything to you, or are you going to continue to live you life running from who and what you are? You keep trying to fit into the human world and one of these days it will get you killed," hissed Djeri. Manual glared at his brother and remarked, "If its a war you want, then a war youll get. Im coming for the girl and theres nothing you can do about it." Djeri busted out laughing and let his brother go replying, "Oh youre too much Manuel. Cecelia is mine and theres nothing you can do to stop me from making her my queen." "Thats were youre wrong brother," said Manuel and hit his brother with a bolt of lightning. The bolt hit Djeri square in the chest throwing him back against the wall. He screamed loudly in pain and it shook the room. The screams shook the water causing the pictures to ripple like waves then disappeared altogether. I slipped from the side of the tub to the floor with my mouth hanging open. There were two of them and they were brothers. Mom was wrong, it wasnt the creature who she thought it was, but his sons. They were at war and they were using me as a reward for whichever one won the battle. I pulled my legs up to my chest and started to cry. The tears were none stop, but soon turned into mad tears. Anger poured up out of me and I screamed. It shook the ground and the next thing I knew the tub beside me shattered into pieces, one of them slicing my face. Blood ran down my cheek as water flooded the floor. A few seconds later the doors bust open and the black dragon entered holding a short sword. He took in the sight and stared at me. There was fear in his eyes as I stared at him with hatred. Slowly pulling myself to my feet I walked towards him and screamed, "Get out and leave me alone!" At the same time my hands flew forward toward him and he was thrown back and out of the room by some force. The doors slammed shut and locked themselves. Powers poured out of me as my own demon sprang loose in an angered rage. No one had the right to take away my free will or use me for their own purposes. If it was a war they wanted, then three can play that game. I stopped feeling sorry for myself and began using the brain the Goddess gave me and tried to figure out how to get out of this mess once and for all. The morons had bitten off more than they could chew. Lets see how they were when they got their asses kicked by a girl. It was time for a smack down in our town and this was one party the brothers would never forget. |
