Saturday~ July 25, 2004
Okay so Monday, I was assigned to take my placement test at MSU. So I wake up at like 6:30, leave the house by 7:15 and arrive with enough time to find the building. So I'm put into a cubicle to take the test. So the three hours pass by and my scores are given to me ten minutes after I finished. "So now your all set for your orientation" the man says. "When is your orientation" he asks. I stare at him then shrugg my shoulders. So he yells at me some and sends me to the Student Expereince deparment. The lady looks me up and tells me I'm not in it. So she goes to the admissions directory and there I am. Seems that orientations are sorted by major. By golly, turns out the orientation for the School of the Arts was today! So she asks me if I can wait an hour and stay for the orientation for the next two days. I guess I didn't have a choice. At this time it was like 11am so I left the campus and drove around looking for a place to have lunch. I got back and waited in front of the hall the lady told me with a whole bunch of other students. So I waited for about 45 minutes for them to open the doors. In this time, I got to meet a lot of new people which was really cool. So I get inside, get my name tag and bag of stuff (orientation schedule, notebook, pens, handbooks, free shirt ^-^) then head to the first seminar with my counsuler. We were grouped by alphabet so I went to the S to Z room. TO my surprise, theres Paula already sitting there. I was so glad she was there, at least I knew someone. So we do more stuff and all. The day was sooo long. I got to meet a whole buncha more people from all over the state, some even outta state. Funny I mention my high school and people go 'Hey that was on MTV!' So the day went by and by nighttime, we had dinner (receiving free stuff ranging from silly putty to bottle cap openers to condoms). Discusions at dinner were very amusing, like how much Matt thinks its always raining in NJ (he's from PA) and if its possible to have an accent when speaking in sign language. So after dinner and picture taking for our ID cards, Chris and I head over the one of the ballrooms for bingo... oh sorry I mean Bowit Bowit Bingo. The only difference is that when u win, you scream "Yea" and everyone goes "OK", from the Lil' Jon song. It was pretty funny, but I got really pissed I didn't win and started cursing off the winners -_-. Meeting people at bingo was cool, Shari and Aylssa were realyl excited for the Rocky Horror Picture Show performance, and convinced Chris, Joel and I to go. So by 8:30 we head over to see RHP show. After about a half hour of seeing half naked people humping each other, eating candy outta each other in strange places and watching a guy in a fat suit, Chris, Joel and I decide to leave, not before I throw a dollar onto the stage for their efforts. The three of us headed to Karaoke at the Red Hawk Diner. Putting a buncha music majors in a karaoke place is sooo funny. I'm really glad they sorted the freshmen like this, the School of the Arts. I made friends better this way and I bet I'll see these people more often once fall comes around. So I go home that night and get ready for the morning
So breakfast wasn't too amazing. Nicole didn't like the coffee so Tom tells us that Wawa has the best coffee and iced tea ever. So me being from up north, we don't have Wawas so Tom tells me all about it which was pretty funny. We then split up into our majors for seminars on each. The music department is sooo cool. I can't wait to start classes (yea kinda sad). So then I registered for my classes. Check it out here. Wow, I have all music classes except for two: Writing and Math. thats gonna be interesting LoL. Then we just hung out, until the closing. I had soo much fun at orientation, I can't wait for school to start, fresh new school, fresh new faces, fresh new classes... woo! So work, I started working in the office selling tokens. Very easy if I do say so myself. Weds was easy, just coming in two hours early cause Greg had to paint something. Thursday in the office again. Friday morning, the park was pretty much empty cause of the cloudy day. Then by 11, boom! it was pouring rain and soon after, Greg decided on closing. So Glenn and I stick around to help clean the carousel so I guess it was an easy day, just short. So today was pretty slow, until 3 when the sun came out and so did all the kids!! I ran the candy stand and didn't make too much food thinking no one would be there so I was swamped with people, making food like a mad man. By the end of the day I was covered in cotton candy and popcorn, and my clothes soaked from the water. Ah well, at least I got a full days pay. So that's pretty much it. hey, I'm 18 in a week! sweetness :) and the bond concert is in 17 days!!!!!! yay!!!!

Tuesday~ July 6, 2004
So yesterday ended my five straight days of work. Thursday and Friday were 3-6, Saturday 10-6, Sunday 12-6 and Monday 10-6 totally to 28 hours. Long days but hey, I'm still getting paid. Its been fun, screaming children and all. Hahah one of the many CDs playing in the backgorund is the Disney one... I love it, I just sit there and sing all day. It makes people laugh so I guess its all good. Rina tells me if Greg's not singing then I am. So I guess I gotta keep it up LoL. btw I hope Rina has an awesome trip to Japan and that Alison, Christine and BJ are having a great time in their homelands. And that Anat has a good trip to Israel too. Thursday after work, hung out with Andrea, Kathryn and Paul in Edgewater, having some good Jamba Juice. Then me and Andi drifted off and watch Fan 9/11 with a buncha people. So what else.... On Saturday after work, I went to see the fireworks with everyone. It was cool seeing people I haven't seen since school ended. As I'm sitting there, thinking that at this time next year, I'll prolly be sitting here, seeing all the people I've missed (or not). Weird. The fireworks were the same they were every year. Afterwards was the long ass time of deciding what to do now that the show was over. So we go from hanging in the parking lot, to walking to my car, to waiting on Bogart, to my backyard. The 20 people turned to like 6... then Katie and Jeff left leaving me, JF, Steph and Judith. At first I thought that my backyard was gonna be boring but I had such an awesome time. There was loads of food, we watched tv, and played cards. Funny that I kept creeping everyone out that a bunch of strangers can see us n the backyard. Lol somebody's eyes are watching! I learned how to play bullshit and asshole... lemme just say I'm really bad at both. At least everyone went slow for me so I could catch on. I def wanna have more junk food card nights. Guess my backyard isnt too bad. 36 days till the bond concert!!!!! :) peace out kiddos
