Gohan
Gohan is an extremely powerful fighter who was born under Chi-Chi and Goku. His mix of Saiyan and Human is where Gohan gets alot of his raw power from. Goku doesn't see this power until he and Piccolo fight Raditz and he becomes so upset that he ends up hurting Raditz. Piccolo also sees this so he kidnapps Gohan to train him and teach him how to use his power. He grows up fast and his power also increases after every battle like his father's. Chi-Chi is very protective of him and pushes him to study rather than fight. Even though he has great power he never loved to fight like his father has.

Vegeta
Vegeta is the prince of the saiyans on the planet Vegeta. Brought up in an environment full of violence Vegeta has grown to be a ruthless killer and relentless person. When he was little his father was killed by Frieza and was one of the four to survive Frieza's destruction of his home planet. He first comes to earth as to see why Raditz has not return and finds out that he was defeated by Goku known as "Kakarot". He battles Goku only to learn he isn't strong enough to defeat him. After dying on Namek he reflects on his life and starts to become a "good guy". He joins the Z warriors but only to ensure that Goku stays alive so he can kill him. He also settles down and marries Bulma and they have a son named Trunks

Krillin
Krillin is one of the Earth's strongest fighters. He's small and doesn't look too dangerous but don't be fooled, he can hold his own agianst other strong warriors. Krillin is Goku's best friend and buddy ever since they were little and trained under Master Roshi. He also brings comedy to the scene and always keeps the Z warriors laughing. He holds friendship as a very high priority and always seems to keep his hopes high. After awhile he settles down and marries android #18 and they have a daughter named Marron.

Goku
Goku is one the strongest fighters in the universe. First coming to the planet Earth as a space pirate Goku was meant to rid the planet of the human race. He failed to carry out his mission because of a mind-rupturing accident in which he fell into a deep ravine. From then on he had remebered nothing about his past and became a worrior under the training of Master Roshi. He also has the ability to become more powerful after every fight as saiyans do and is the first to reach a level that was thought only to be a myth....Super Saiyan. He has a wife name Chi-Chi and two sons, one he names after his adoptive grandfather Gohan, and another named Goten. Goku is a good-natured person and loves to fight like all saiyans do. He seems to be too trusting at times but always willing to take that risk.

(Mira No) Trunks
Trunks is Vegeta's and Bulma's son. When he first appears he came from the future. In his timeline the Androids kill most of the Z worriors and Goku dies of a heart attack, but he travels back in time to warn Goku of the arrival of the androids and gives him medicine to prevent his heart attack. For some reason Trunks decides to stay in this timeline for a little while. Even at one point Trunks exists in the same timeline with his younger self. Trunks has a "pure heart" and is a very good and powerful fighter. When Trunks was a child he was best friends with Goten (Goku's second child) and they were inseperatable. They both were very michevious and get into trouble alot.

Videl
Mister Satan's daughter, and Gohan's one time classmate. During Gohan's first years in high school Videl tried in vain to figure out who the Great Saiyaman is. Eventually she figures out Gohan is the Great Saiyaman and asks him to teach her how to fly. Videl is more powerful than her father. She fights for justice as one of the cities great crime fighters. By the end of the series Gohan and Videl get married and have one child: Pan _________________________________________________________________
Mister Satan
The comic relief of Dragonball. Mr.Satan first appeared in Dragonball Z as Earth's so called world champion. He tried to fight Cell in the Cell tournament only to be flicked away silly. Many people on earth believed that he defeated Cell and that he is the most powerful. Satan realizes that he is not the strongest when he bumps into the Z team and tries so hard to protect up his image during the series. _________________________________________________________________
Babidi
The evil magician who resurrected the Majin Buu. Babidi is the son of Bibidi and has magical powers to 'charm' fighters with evil in their heart into becoming his slave. At one time he tired to charm Vegita only to find that he could never control someone with so much pride! _________________________________________________________________
Cell
The ultimate artificial being created by Dr.Gero. Cell was created with a combination of cells from all the greatest fighters in the universe: Goku, Vegita, Freeza, Piccolo and more. In order to become a perfect being Cell needed to merge with Android 17 and 18. At the time Cell hatched however, the androids were no where to be found. His solution was to travel to the past in Trunks time machine to find the androids. Cell goes thru 2 transformations before attaining his perfect form. _________________________________________________________________
Maijin Buu
300 years ago an evil magician named Bibidi created the Majin Buu, a demon who's intent is pure evil and destructive (the Buu pictured on the bottom). Bibidi could not fully control Buu at first. Eventually Buu killed all but one of the Kaio-shins (the north Kaio-shin survived). The east and west Kaio-shins were easily defeated. The south Kaio-shin put up a good fight but was absorbed by Buu at the last minute. This caused Buu to inherit the physical traits of the south Kaio-shin. Buu then absorbed the master Kaio-shin (Di-Kaio-shin) and transformed into the fat Buu (the Buu pictured on the top). Since master Kaio-shin was kind, gentle and fat, Buu was watered down a bit and easier to control. Majin Buu was later resurrected by his son Babidi. Buu goes thru many transformations including returning to his first state (the Buu pictured on the bottom). _________________________________________________________________
Piccolo
Piccolo is the reborn Devil himself. Many years ago, A Namekian was sent to earth in fear that a comet would soon hit the planet Namek. The man we know as Kami-sama (which translates into god or the god of earth) wanted to take the place of the watcher of earth. But in order for him to do that he had to purge the small amount of evil that was within him. When Kami-sama did this his spirit split into two. Thus, from the expulsion of Kami's evil side, was the birth of an evil entity called Piccolo-Diamao (Piccolo the demon). Piccolo-Diamao was evil and destructive causing cities to disappear. Eventually this evil being came across Goku (when he was young). They fought an epic battle, with Goku killing Piccolo-Diamao. On his dying breath he spat out an egg which hatch into the Piccolo in the Z team. Young Piccolo was evil like his father. A native of the planet Namek, he has the ability to regrow parts of his body that he lost. He and Goku were enemies as teenagers and fought many times. However when he was forced to train Goku's son Gohan before Vegita and Nappa were to come to earth, a different side of Piccolo is revealed and we see that he is not entirely evil after all. Gohan's innocence and friendliness help Piccolo become a different person changing him to be on the side of good instead of evil. Further in the story Piccolo develops a paternal affection for Gohan, protecting him. During the Android saga, Kami-sama nulls on the decision to remerge with his "evil" counter part noting that Piccolo has good in his heart. Kami eventually decides to do so forever putting him on the side of good and fighting with the Z team. _________________________________________________________________
Baba
Baba is the comical sister of Master Roshi. Short and squat, she uses her crystal ball to see into the future or to see what is happening in the present in other locations. When the television coverage of the Saiyan fight is interrupted, Master Roshi, Bulma, Chi Chi, Ox-King, and Oolong gather around her crystal ball to see how their friends and loved ones are faring. _________________________________________________________________
Master Roshi
An ancient and wise master of martial arts, Roshi has accumulated great power and knowledge. He is very old, completely bald, and has a long white beard. Because he lived for countless years on a deserted island with only a turtle for championship, he is also called the "Hermit Turtle". Then again, he's also called quirky, a kook, and a smelly old codger. Although he may appear strange, frail and harmless, Master Roshi is indeed a great warrior. He is master of the "Kamehameha" -- a power which he channels through his hands, creating a wave of tremendous power that can destroy mountains. Master Roshi's one failing is that he's attracted to women. Not a bad weakness, except that invariable he's attracted to a woman who would rather date his turtle than him. This weakness keeps his heart from being pure and prevents him from being able to ride the Nimbus Cloud. _________________________________________________________________
Puar
Puar is a shape-shifting blue cat. Puar is able to shift shapes without resting every couple of minutes. Puar is the devoted friend of Yamcha. _________________________________________________________________
ChiChi
Chi-Chi is a cute little princess who Goku saves when they are both young. She is the only one with a heart pure enough to ride on the Nimbus Cloud with Goku. But being young and cute doesn't mean Chi-Chi isn't a brave and amazing fighter. Part of her apparel is a special helmet. This helmet contains a boomerang which she can grab at a moment's notice and throw with amazing accuracy to down her opponents. But then, you would expect this of the Ox-King's only daughter. Her father, a great warrior, wanted to bring up a daughter who could take care of herself. So he molded her into a formidable fighter who can defend her loved ones against the forces of darkness. Chi-Chi grows up to become Goku's wife and the mother of their son, Gohan. Chi-Chi is a loving wife, doting mother, but she believes that their son should develop his brain instead of his brawn. This sometimes brings her in direct conflict with Goku and his friends who put a high value on fighting skills. _________________________________________________________________
Bulma
The second character introduced in Dragonball, Bulma is smart and witty but also goofy. Like her father (the founder of Capsule Corporation) she is very handy with technology. Sometimes she comes off as selfish and irritating and can get on peoples nerves. Eventually she and Vegita "pair up" and have two children: Trunks and Bra. _________________________________________________________________
Yamcha
At first Yamcha was a thief and one of Goku's enemies. But as the story went on he begins to fall in love with Bulma (early in the series they go out together) and thus he starts to develop a friendship with Goku. He is the weakest member of the Z team. _________________________________________________________________
Ox King
The fabled "Gyuumaoh", the Ox king is Chi Chi's father. He appeared early in the Dragonball series. The turtle master knew Ox King as the one who trained with Goku's Grandfather, Gohan. _________________________________________________________________
Kami
Piccolo's spiritual opposite and the Watcher of Earth (literally god). Before he became god, he had to expel the small evil that was within him. When he did this the evil that split from him came to be known as Piccolo's Parent. If Piccolo is in danger and dies Kami dies as well. They cannot exist without each other. Kami is part of an alien race called the Namekians. _________________________________________________________________
King Kai
King Kai is the fun loving comedian who is the watcher of the north galaxy. He is one of Goku's trainers and taught him the Kaio-Ken, a powerful technique. Later in the series we see that there are other Deities that watch different parts of the universe. King Kai is just one of many Deities who appear in the series. _________________________________________________________________
(Chibi) Trunks
The first child of Vegita and Bulma. Young (Chibi) Trunks is very different from future (Mira) Trunks. He is a little mischievous, and has a bad attitude much like his father. Although he means well most of the time, he always gets himself and Goten in trouble. Chibi Trunks never reaches his potential because of the fact that he lives in times of peace. _________________________________________________________________
Freeza
The evil slumlord, who rules over an empire of mercenaries. Freeza uses his vast army of fighters to take over and prepare planets for sale. He is responsible for the demise of many planets including Planet Vegita (home world of the Saiyans). He has four different forms with the final form being his actual one. _________________________________________________________________
Broilli
The "Legendary Super Saiyan". At birth Broilli was classified to have an extremely high class rating. In fear that one day Broilli would take over, King Vegita (Vegita's father) banished Broilli and his father from the Saiyan clan (by killing them). They were both assumed dead before Planet Vegita's demise. Broilli and his father were able to survive the planet's destruction however. He was born on the same day as Goku. Because of this Broilli has a competitive hatred for Goku. Broilli made appearances in Movie 8, 10 and 11. _________________________________________________________________
Radditz
Goku's older Brother and one of the surviving Saiyans. He came to Earth to check on the status Goku (Kakarrot) who was sent to prepare the planet for take over. He was the weakest of all remaining Saiyans. _________________________________________________________________
Dabura
The leader of the underworld's demons and the Prince of darkness, Dabura was known to be the 'Devil' himself. Charmed by Babidi, he is the primary fighter in Babidi's legion. _________________________________________________________________
Goten
The second child of Son Goku and Chi Chi. Goten exhibits great potential when becoming a Super Saiyan at an early age. Goten was trained by Gohan and has a bearing resemblance of his father. He and Trunks become good friends and are always causing trouble between the two of them. Goten is a good natured boy, a little naive perhaps and only gets in trouble because Trunks spites them to. _________________________________________________________________
