i walked into my english class and on TV was the ceremony at the pentagon, scary shit man, could we say nationalistic much? This overly patriotic stuff is scary sometimes. It's really sad that that's the only way people know how to express their grief. Ya wave a flag and it'll be all better, i don't think so. So while millions of americans are sitting on their asses with the 10 feet american flags outside their houses, people are still dying of the same kind of horrible violence we felt on sept.11th all around the world, and many times from our bombs too. Currently, more that 3,000 afghans have died from our bombs, and most of them prob. innocent and honest people, no diff from those in the world trade center. But I don't see any of these people that claim to be grieving, that claim to be patriotic doing anything to stop the death they grieve so much for. So what is it? we only care when it happens to us? 9/11 bothers me, i find it a highly frustrating date, because what have we learned as a whole? Not one fucking thing. What a stupid country. Thank god there are still some decent people left that are trying to make a difference, we can't have an entire country full of blind sheep. |
