POEM

crying silently in a haven of disgust
wont they see as I see?
They cannot view themselves nor I
Lives but of thin smiles and pale lived-in skin
the skin of fearsome
Rejected sorry stares twitching inside of them
Oh
a wave of stale air
stench of emotion
heat upon my legs
dry cracked obscure pain
of this haven of disgust
absence of color
Question?
A thousand black steps

I cannot escape
I only cock my head
myopic wandering among the parents
hide your children away
Im sorry for my cheap corduroy
Forgive me
II
Or spurn me!  Thrust me
out into the heat of the crap!
The cold of the common left behind.

But anythings better than this.

Crying silently these lips
stuck shut with thick saliva
of a mouth unused for ages

III
The trash can tries to fly away.
