Huck Finn: The main character of the novel. He is a rebellious young boy on the run from his Pap. He faked his death and is travelling the Mississippi with Jim. He had many aliases, such as Adolphus, George Jackson, and Tom Sawyer.

Jim: Runaway slave and Huck�s companion. He is trying to reach Cairo so that he can be free.

The Duke: One of the con men that captured Huck and Jim. While in Pikesville, he was tarred and feathered.

The King: One of the con men that captured Huck and Jim. Sells Jim back to slavery, and is tarred and feathered with the Duke.

Pap: Huck�s father. He is a drukard that is trying to get Huck�s money and is accused of killing Huck.

Widow Douglas: She took Huck into her home to make a him respectable.

Miss Watson: The Widow Douglas� sister and Jim�s owner.

Tom Sawyer: Huck�s best friend. Pretends he is his younger brother and helps Tom release Jim.

Buck Grangerford: A friend of Huck�s that is killed in the family feud.

Colonel Grangerford: Head of Grangerford family that Huck stays with and is killed in the family feud.

Miss Sophia Grangerford: Runs off with Harney Shepardson and sparks fighting in feud feud.

Harney Shepherdson: Runs off with Harney Shepardson and sparks fighting.

Mrs. Judith Loftus: Gives Huck info about the town and Huck�s �death� when Huck is dressed as a girl.

Sally Phelps: Tom Sawyer's aunt.

Silas Phelps: Tom Sawyer�s uncle, bought Jim from the King..

Doctor Robinson: Warns his town about the King and Duke being frauds, but is ignored.

Boggs: A smaller character in the novel. He is a drunkard that is killed by Colonel Sherburn after insulting him.

Colonel Sherburn: Man who shoots Boggs

Judge Thatcher: Trys to protect Huck and his money when Pap comes back to town.

Mary Jane Wilks: Daughter of George Wilks. Huck falls in love with her and tells her the King and Duke are frauds.

Peter Wilks: Dead Wilks brother

Harvey Wilks: Brother of Peter Wilks that the King impersonates.

William Wilks: Brother of Peter Wilks that the Duke impersonates.

Aunt Polly: Tom�s aunt. Reveals Tom and Huck�s plan and their real identities
