jazz a kind of native American music first played in the turn of the century and in most styles having a strong but flexible rhythmic understructure with solo and ensamble improvisations of basic tunes and chord patterns.
The aim of this site is to further comprehension and appreciation for Thurston Moore's recorded output of free jazz/free form/sonic experimentation. Many people have a tough time understanding it. Others just hear "noise". Hopefully this site will help walk you through it all, and give you at least some insight on the issue.
By no means is the listing of records here complete. It is not meant to be used as a discography, nor do i pretend to know everything. Please do e-mail me and tell me yr thoughts/suggestions or just to tell me that i'm completely off base. to be honest, tackling these releases is a tough job...but brave men run in my family.
News:(may 26, 2002) I'm still working on the Hurricane Floyd synopsis. it's coming along slowly, but surely. also i've been drinking some beer, so that kind of slows down the work on the site. sorry about that guys. I'm also sort of toying with adding a full discography to this site (not including SY releases; just solo stuffs), but it may take a while.
