When the Freestyle movement was at it's hottest, Sweet Sensation was my passion. I remember listening to their first album over and over and over until I wore out the tape! The same was for the second album when that was released. They were the quintessential Latin Hip Hop/Freestyle group with their own unique blend of Latin rhythm and Freestyle. 

At their peak of success, they were chosen to tour with the New Kids On The Block (NKOTB). Which was, needless to say, the BIGGEST teenage sensation since the Beatles. I believe that touring with NKOTB gave them a wider audience and more exposure throughout the country. THE COVER GIRLS also toured with NKOTB for a small portion of the tour. After the tour, Sweet Sensation released a video collection of their videos, which included their smash hit ballad "If Wishes Came True." Other videos featured are:   "Hooked on You," "Sincerely Yours," "Love Child" (video and live concert version). Also included on the tape are some brief interviews with each of the members of the group. 

Sweet Sensation has graced the stage of the Legendary Apollo where they performed "Love Child" and their unreleased single "Bring It Back." Other freestyle divas to grace the stage with their talents at the Apollo are CORINA and LISETTE MELENDEZ.

Later two of the members were replaced; Sheila and Margie. In their places were 3 more members. But unfortunetly the group broke up and was thought that Betty, the original lead vocalist was to go on to a solo career.
