Do you Miss Me
A Little Bit Of Exctacy
I've Been Thinking About You

(TEXT IS TAKEN FROM A MAGAZINE -"A MAGAZINE" - INTERVIEW WITH ERICK GONZALES - AUG/SEPT '97 ISSUE)

Jocelyn Enriquez was born and raised in San Francisco/Bay Area. Her parents are from Manila, Pangasinan. Being Filipino is very much a part of who she is. She had, she jokes, a very typical Filipino childhood, with "the bucket and the rock in the bathroom." (It's a Filipino thing - bucket for poor water pressure days, and the rock for a pumice stone) ;o)  Growing up with her younger brother, her parents and her 'inang' (grandmother), her family always emphasized the importance of cultural roots. "I look at myself now", Jocelyn says, "and I could never deny who I am as a Filipina."

Music was always a part of Jocelyn's life; she started singing at the tender age of three; her first 'performance' was a rousing rendition of the Anita Ward hit, "Ring My Bell," delivered on the living room coffee table. From there on, she performed with the San Francisco Girls' Choir for ten years and sang in churches, and she also sang for a top-40 cover band that her parents managed (mostly did gigs for local Filipino functions).

Jocelyn was later discovered by Bay Area-based CLASSIFIED RECORDS after viewing a videotape of her performing "IF YOU LEAVE ME NOW" (written and performed by Filipino Freestyle diva, JAYA). Jocelyn was later signed on with CLASSIFIED RECORDS, and under the talented production and composing skills of GLENN GUTIERREZ, released such great hits like, "I'VE THINKING ABOUT YOU", "DO YOU MISS ME", "A LITTLE BIT OF ECSTASY", and  "GET INTO THE RHYTHM". Albums released includes "LOVELY" (CLASSIFIED/BANG RECORDS 1994) and the chart topper, "JOCELYN" (CLASSIFIED RECORDS/TOMMY BOY/TIMBER 1997).

A quick quote from Jocelyn herself, "My ultimate goal is to give back what I've learned as far as the industry and help out aspiring Filipinos."

As to date, Jocelyn is no longer with CLASSIFIED RECORDS and is now signed exclusively with TOMMY BOY/TIMBER! RECORDS. Jocelyn can be found in the Miramax released movie and soundtrack, 54, performing Gordon Lightfoot's classic folk/pop hit from the 1971, "IF YOU CAN READ MY MIND" with other dance floor divas, Amber and Ultra Natè (also better known as Stars on 54).  Her latest single hit "WHEN I GET CLOSE TO YOU" was released in May 2000 wich rose to the Top 20 Dance Billboard charts. A third cd should be out sometime this year.
