With a name that means "The World", George Lamond now has his sights set conquering it musically. "Its a whole new world for me and im ready for it now!" With three #1 Dance hits, a Top 25 hit on the pop singles chart from his first album Bad Of The Heart, and equaled success as well as growth on his second album In My Life. George Lamond seems to be accomplishing his goals.

George Lamond first showed his talent in art. He would sketch the characters while watching Saturday morning cartoons. Convinced he was headed for a career in art, his family enrolled him in New York's prestigious High School of Art and Design. Growing up in a family of eight whose tates ranged from pop and disco to R&B and salsa, he soon began club hopping on the sly. Earning praise from his friends for his breakdancing and clear unaffected tenor, George Lamond recorded his first single "Bad Of The Heart" when he was 18. The single found its way to the hip hop production team Mark Liggett and Chris Barbosa, who produced his first album as well as dance hits "Without You" and "Look Into My Eyes"

In My Life was released a year later. With this album George Lamond was given the opportunity to write and produce. He also assisted in designing the album cover and the making of the video for "Where Does That Leave Love". He also began submitting songs to fellow artists such as Cynthia and Jon Secada. Having his versatility and ability to grow is why George Lamond is one of the few Freestyle artists to matain consistent pop success on the Billboard charts.

Although this album was critically acclaimed, when radio stations dropped freestyle from their formats, George Lamond was released from his label in 1992. He spent the next couple of years doing shows and filling clubs all around the country. In 1994 after reviewing countless offers from record companies and invitations to become the part of various groups, he decided to sign with Timber Records.

He has already been called America's reigning Latin dance music king, and is an honor he doesnt take lightly. He is determined to continue satisfying his long-time fans as well as welcoming new ones with progression and classic style that is George Lamond.

Presently he is with Robbins Entertainment in NYC with the new cd release of The Best of George Lamond as well as a salsa cd.
