Lives (1995) cd compilation.
The Cover Girls concept was created by FEVER RECORDS' executive
producers ANDY "PANDA" TRIPOLI and SAL ABBATIELLO.
The idea was to develop a vocal trio with the beauty, style,
and grace of the magazine "Cover Girls". This "idea"
turned into an internationally recognized pop group with eleven
singles charted on various Billboard charts, two gold albums,
one gold album in Japan, as well as #1 record of the year for
1988, and three major endorsement deals with Coca-Cola, Panasonic,
and Sprite.
The Cover Girls began their success with a demo version of "SHOW
ME", a song written and produced by ANDY "PANDA"
TRIPOLI. The single became a pop/dance success by selling 400,000
units and reaching #4 on Billboard's Dance chart.
After the huge success of the single, "SHOW ME" the
album was later released under FEVER RECORDS in 1986. "SHOW
ME", the album, became the first independently distributed
album to chart five singles. In 1990, the follow up album which
also went gold, "WE CAN'T GO WRONG", was released under
CAPITOL RECORDS.
Under the talented production work of ANDY "PANDA"
TRIPOLI and the well known team of DAVID COLE and ROBERT CLIVILLES
(best known as C&C), such hits to emerge out of their second
album included, "ALL THAT GLITTERS", "MY HEART
SKIPS A BEAT", and the moving ballad, "WE CAN'T GO
WRONG".
The original members that made up the Cover Girls were Caroline
Jackson, Sunshine Wright, and lead singer, Angel Sabater (Clivilles).
