| We Need a Voice, Politically Its time our culture had representation in government for our cause. One thing that rings true with any cause is that if it isn't tied to one of the two biggest political parties in the U.S., it will not get the attention it deserves. There are many good causes out there that have valid merit, but will never get anywhere. There might be an answer to this problem. If all of these organizations band together under the same umbrella, a political party that supports the views of the vast majority of Americans who aren't part of the established political parties in power now, it would create a voice more powerful for each of the small organizations involved. As I said before, 2 out of 3 eligible voters, don't vote, now. They don't believe in the policies of the candidates that they have to choose from, contact the Libertarians, Independent parties, or the Green Party, and ask them pointedly if they would put their resources behind us 100%. If we find a party that shares the same beliefs we do, and band together with that party, then the next step would be to get as many people and other organizations out there to join that party. As long as they are for protecting the individual freedoms guaranteed by the constitution, civil liberty, etc. A move like this would enhance the power of all of these smaller organizations politically. I know that we have the start of something-bigger going on here. If we follow through with these ideas, and use the net to expand our network, as we are starting to do, it will happen eventually. If the November Coalition people, our culture, and the many minority organizations all pull together under the same party, all the member organizations might finally have a voice. E-mail all the organizations you can, or write, and start building this network. Rusty |
