You Are Beautiful

-

I could never tell you that you're beautiful
Because you'd reply: I can't be; I'm a boy
But believ me- you are
And in looking at you I'm filled with such joy

It's the way you're hair is always perfect
How it's always this bright blonde hue
And oh how I love your spikes
They just look so fine on you

Then there are your gorgeous baby blue eyes
That I love to see light up
I get lose in those eyes so often and they
Give me reasons to stay long after I've given up

And that heavenly perfect smile you have
And how your teeth are unbelievably straight
The fact that your whole face lights up with your smile
And the softness of your lips when you kissed me on our first date

Then there's your hands with your bitten off nails
That work for hour after hour every day
But they are always so tender and soft whenever
You hold me in your arms and tell me it's all okay

It's so cute that you're so tall while I'm so short and
I love standing on my tippy toes to dance with you
You humor me when you lift me up like an airplane
In fact, I love and am humored by everything that you do

And your fashion sense is next to none
You woulnd't be you if you wore pants that fit right
With your Blink shirts and sandals all year round
And all your piercings that make my mom all uptight

So you may not think you're beautiful
But beauty to me is something that takes your breath away
And sweetheart that is exactly what you do
Absolutely every single day
