Colorblind

Repeat the article in the magazine
As if it actually had something to say.
More disappointment in the news today.
As you smear your rear in Vaseline,
And douse your futures in gasoline.

One life to live, but whos really alive?
Searching for a light in a darkened cave.
You forfeit the life to which you strive
And openly praise the car you drive.

Watching your portrait remain still,
Your heart races to grasp it.
Sucking on mother natures desolate tit.
Your hopes disappear along with the will
To reject the offer of another pill.

You are colorblind in a prism place.
Dreams are vanquished with your sight;
With all those things that make you right.
Because you live in a desperate space,
A vacuum obsessed with its own fate.
