Stargazer

I look to the sky for hope
And see only your beautiful face.
No matter how much time passes,
I can't seem to escape this wanting place.

If I lose my way in the night sky
I'll look to the stars to get back home.
You are everything that the sky is not
The star's queen, you sit on the thrown.

If only I could reach the heavens tonight,
And taste a single touche of your lips.
But I'm trapped in a silent abyss of solitude,
Just a hair away from your fingertips.

And so I await the next time we meet.
In another life if it takes that long.
I'll wait till the sun burns away and falls.
You make my mind sharp and my heart strong.

No matter how long, how deep, or how far...
I am a stargazer and you are my star.
