Spanish Doll

Those lips of darkened red
The way your hair curls around your head.
In those satin arms Im secure,
A once-in-a-lifetime love adventure.

Time will stand still for you,
The winter will cower and the sky will shine blue.
Like a floating angel down here
With more beauty than even God can adhere.

So tonight, here I stand, alone
Thinking back on all the love wed shown.
Are you willing to love me once more?
Is this what my future has in store?

Surely not, for you are out of reach.
Im like a grain of sand on a diamond beach.
Swooning for your kiss and your love,
As you are all I think of.

A sad realization I must accept,
That Ill never be completely content.
But if this is a love that shall never be,
My heart is like a dove that shall never be free.
