I drink the same brand of coffee,
And smoke my cigarette to a fast-paced clock.
Grabbing my old sunglasses to see
And stepping down the cracked, broken sidewalk.
I smile the same meaningless expression
To the people I want to impress.
Trying to land a cool impression
To get all the ladies to undress.
I work the same wasteful post
Waiting for the time to pass.
Unaware of what I need most.
Lost in the confusion of the modern compass.
I visit the same bar for a few beers,
And open the door to my humble domain.
In the darkness, I cry the same dry tears,
Because everyday is always the same.
