Whats this pitiful, appliance filled life for?
And why does the pain always outweigh the good?
Our lives have been lost; our minds a closed door.
Will we ever pull off this ignorant hood?
We all live under the foot of the Power Elite,
And serve their food on our own golden platters.
We storm their castle just to get something to eat,
Pushed to the ground as we climb rusty ladders.
Righteousness, as extinct as compassion.
All the world wants is something to eat.
Given our healthy bread & potato ration,
And swoon for the power under the Elite feet.
Utopian, as unfamiliar as peace of mind.
Withering away our minds as slaves to labor.
We search the world, but we can not find
That new jacket we see on our neighbor.
What happened to the brilliant minds of the past?
Perhaps theyve been slowly conformed into serfs.
The philosopher, in our society, will never last,
Our minds have regressed since the day of our birth.
