Truce

Ive asked him for an ending
To a day where nothing lives.
Our ears no longer pretending
To hear what his answer is.

All hope of a better life lost,
As we block out visions & dreams.
Climbing to the top at any cost
Yet floating farther down the stream.

The end is far from near
No cause is worth the fight.
All one feels is a trembling fear,
And prays that life will be alright.
