The midnight cool releases the pain
That the invasive day seems to press.
My cryptic heart is always slain,
By the mornings bitter test.
The protection lost at ignorant hands,
Weve abolished our last natural resort.
So beautifully lush in distant lands,
Yet our own is a frost-dried desert.
In a closed world, Im isolated and alone,
As the mages are now ranked by name.
To live this way, a heart must turn stone,
And lose the ability to feel shame.
Begging for the blind to see,
To envision the struggle they create.
Lost in the greedy cloak of money,
And all the other evils that relate.
