Severed

A hinting glance & smile
Turns from warmth to intolerable pain.
And after she tortures me for a while
I always run back to her again.

Shes my muse & whats left of passion.
Actually, I know now I feel nothing for her.
I loved her so deeply when this story had begun,
But now that love is a shallow blur.

I obsess about her face & eyes
And tell everyone Im deeply hurt.
But everything I say is lies,
As her beauty to me has dissolved to dirt.

Now what should I do,
That denial has been accepted?
Im just a sad-loving fool
Whos heart is no longer connected.
