Quivering in the cold mist
Waiting for Gods warm hand.
Grasping my blanket with a weary fist,
Wishing I was warm in a distant land.
You, a sliver in darkness
Rescued me in my despair.
In your heart was pure goodness
And I envied what was there.
I thank you for your compassion
That saved me from the night.
I wish I could act in your fashion,
Of a man good & right.
