I saw Gods eye staring in my soul,
And this eye seemed soaked in despair.
My mind was like a thoughtless hole,
With not even a word to spare.
So I lay against the warm grass,
And try to picture his entire face.
But that luminous eye I couldnt pass,
My vision blocked by divine grace.
He seemed to cry out to me
As I wept for this lonely eye.
I would be lying so bitterly,
If I said in vain I didnt cry.
I cried and cried at this beautiful sight,
And wondered why he was in grief.
Then I understood in a sudden fright,
That this world is like a fallen leaf.
Weve forgotten his heavenly touch,
Thats kept our hopes afloat.
Missing his warmth not quite enough,
We drown in our own murky moat.
