Free of You

Ive finally gotten you out of my head.
Your essence no longer clouds my day.
Ive gotten over the love that turned dead
And filled the crevice that you tore away.

You are finally vanquished from my life.
As you were never good enough for me.
Your hips could swing like an enticing knife,
But my unconditional love you could never see.

I sometimes wish Id never loved you,
But I swear back those words with conviction.
We seemed to be the perfect two,
Until passion took flight with fates intervention.

I feel free now, away from your dark embrace.
I no longer look for you when Im alone.
I feel save now, away from you critical face.
I no longer look for that smile of stone.
