| Robert has been incarcerated since December of 1981. He was 19 when he was convicted of killing two policemen in Milwaukee. He was illiterate and poor and was picked up in an apartment near the shootings. At this time, there were serious race riots going on in Milwaukee. He has since learned to read, and he has worked hard on his case to prove his innocence. We have transcripts of his trial where his court-appointed attorney, who also was the deputy public defender, told the jury he was guilty. Robert needs allies, as he is a particular target of the DOC. Other inmates have said: 'What we get (abuse) is nothing compared to him.' Robert is in the Boscobel Supermax, now called WSPF. He remains in his cell 23 or (mostly) 24 hours a day. Robert L. Collins-Bey #84404 ; W.S.P.F. P.O. Box 9900, Boscobel, WI 53805 U.S.A.
