He has since learned to read, and he has worked hard on his case to prove his innocence. We have transcripts of his trial where his court-appointed attorney, who also was the deputy public defender, told the jury he was guilty.
Robert needs allies, as he is a particular target of the DOC. Other inmates have said: 'What we get (abuse) is nothing compared to him.'
Robert is in the Boscobel Supermax, now called WSPF. He remains in his cell 23 or (mostly) 24 hours a day.
